Believe it or not, it was realizing I was a part of something larger than myself.
I was a Marine Firefighter, and- while it got to be boring at times- there were times when someone would thank you for saving their bird,m or themselvews, or that you would realize that your job actually was worth doing because people depended on you for their lives.

I wouldn't say there is one favorite, more like a lot of good things.
Like helping me start my career, serving my country, money for college, purpose, developing my character.
Still in. 2 more yrs.

Leaving Vietnam and then getting out of the army when I got back to the US.
