Easy.
Women can be like forensic scientists pouring over detail in a profile and finding various things to shake their head about - so why put it in there in the first place?
In the real world men and women date and love members of the opposite sex with all manner of imperfections - men know this - somehow women haven't quite grasped this concept.
(a little tongue in cheek here - don't get too angry ladies)

1. Men don't use the computer to socialize like women do, they use it as a tool.
2. A lot of males are just kids who set up a multitude of fake IDs so they don't waste the time.
3. They don't want to advertise that they are married, 47 years old, and have 3 kids.

Well I have a profile, admittedly thats because i was fed up with asl all the time though my photo doesn't even look much like me anymore

Is it neccessary to fill out your entire life story....on a website that most people aren't even open enough to tell what there favorite color is?
Besides...sticking to stereotypes...men are often closed off anyway. Ask me a question...maybe I'll answer it.

The ones that are single do, the ones that are married don't want anyone to know so they don't feel out all that stuff. This has been my experience.

It could always be a multitude of answers,just pick one. I have a great pic of a tiger on mine but as I get to know someone,I'll let them see pics of me. Too many fakes on the internet and besides I love the pic of the tiger. So if u want to see me,get to know me.......................

Most women don't because of their age, etc. I find that more guys than women do.
