If they got together, they could make a big difference in Mexico and fight the crooked government and drug lords and develop a civil country second to none. 12 million would be more than enough. Then they would have a country like the USA and wouldn't have to immigrate.

There is already chaos there.
They will be joined by 20 million more.
They goverment won't shoot 32 million people.
Rules don't matter when you are facing millions of angry citizens.

Women right to vote...1920's
Veterans rights....1920's
Equil rights for blacks....1960's

They all accomplished something!

Why? They have it all right here! It's easier.

Maybe when they get deported and no longer have our taxpaid services to support them they will be forced to do the RIGHT thing. Demonstrate, protest, rally together, overthrow the corrupt government and make changes. As long as the USA carries those people and supports their every need, they will do nothing. Throw the bums out, they'll sink or swim. Not our problem.

Their country (Mexico) needs for them come back home and be there to vote in the next election. They can't make changes if they are in the USA. They all need to unite on ONE man and everyone vote for HIM. Don't lose a good man for the job by having the votes split between two good ones. That gives the majority to a bad one.

June 23 (Bloomberg) -- Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador maintained his lead in the final Mexican presidential opinion poll taken by Consulta Mitofsky before the July 2 elections.

Lopez Obrador, the former mayor of Mexico City and the Party of the Democratic Revolution's candidate, rose to 36 percent in voters' preferences from 35 percent in a June 14 survey. Support for Felipe Calderon, a former energy minister under President Vicente Fox, rose to 33 percent from 32 percent of registered voters in the previous poll, Mitofsky said on its Web site.

Backing for Roberto Madrazo, the Institutional Revolutionary Party's candidate, fell to 27 percent from 28 percent in the poll, Mitofsky said.

Mexico needs to handle their own problems. It is not our responsibility to have to come up with a solution to it. THEY need to handle it.

*Jessica Out of curiosity I went to the Dept. of Labor website in my state and found out field workers make $7 to $8 per hour. If they claim they make $5 per hour, they are most likely only reporting the part on their check, the remainder is probably paid in cash so they don't have to report it and they can still qualify for welfare. You shouldn't call people 'moron', it shows your ignorance and is against Y!A guidelines.

Manuel...."THERE ARE NO JOBS USA CITIZENS WON'T DO" That has already been debated! We already work in the fields, wipe babies and old peoples butts, clean toilets, mop floors, work in water sanitization plants(human waste), pick up dead animals, etc. That remark is B.S.!! Plus, they take carpentry, manufacturing, road repair, and other jobs, too. For wages some of us WILL work for.

If the Mexican immigrants marched in Mexico City, there would be a high chance of all of them getting killed. The government in Mexico is so corrupt that even the people can't make that much of a difference. They are looking to the presidential candidates right now. The July 2nd election will be a heated one, and the potential for a revolution is a strong one. Lopez Obrador, one of the candidates, is claiming he will fight corruption. The entire base for the government is corruption.

It is unfortunate that you believe that marching on Mexico City will make a difference. The country of Mexico has a history of revolution and horrible government. How exactly is a march going to change that? Hundreds of years of mistakes cannot be erased by a twelve million-man march.

Not only that, but the Mexican economy is horrible, especially in comparison to the United States. When a person can come to the US, work at a minimum-wage job, and make enough to take care of a large family back in Mexico, why wouldn't they immigrate? The way to stop the immigration is to stop spending money on walls, help the Mexican government get back on its feet, and collect taxes from the currently illegal immigrants.

If that happened, there would be utter chaos that would just result in a new ruling class. It would turn ugly and violent. We'd have to do something just to keep the violence from spilling over the border.

The basic conditions of life would stay the same for the poor. The only change would be the fall of the elite and the rise of the lower end of the wealthy.

I believe the supports for the protest and marches held in this country, this spring, had an agenda to over take the United States and turn it into Mexico de Norte (formerly the USA). Its too obvious that these protesters should have had the balls to stand up in their own prospective home countries.

I think that the problem might not be as easy to fix in mexico as it is in America. You have to understand that theses people have nothing. Some of them come to make about 1000 dollars a month as a construction worker and they send about 900 dollars back to their own country to buy their family food and to try to help them survive. Yes, some of them come to the U.S to get our jobs, but its jobs that no body would want. Their president isnt the best man in the world either. It's not the people fault but their goverments fault.

I think they have tried that in the past, and did nothing. Now, it sounds easy to do it, and maybe it is, just to march and protest, but did the goverment care? I don't think so. They didn't do anything. So maybe, we do need another revolution. And if Mexico doesn't get better, I think it will actually happen.

Because most Mexican immigrants either don't think logically or are looking for an easy was out as opposed to actually standing up and making a difference.

Hey... Quit taking about our tax dollars. Billions of tax dollars go to tons of BS that isn't even benefitting our country. And Mexico doesn't have drug lords, that's Columbia. Get your countries together.
Tax dollars. Lets talk about Tax dollars shall we. I work full time. I make decent money, but if I go down to the dept of human services and try to get some assistance for food stamps, they say I make too much money. Hmmm. Too much money? Of course the way the calculate my income is they go by my GROSS income, before tax dollars are even taken out. Well hell yeah, my Gross is awesome. Whos' wouldn't be. But my TAXED check, those taxes they took from me, are going to the chick next door who sleeps all day, and does nothing, and sells her foodstamps for drugs... and she gets to sit home and collect all kinds of goverment programs money. NICE. That's where you damn tax money is going to. I buy generic cereal, and food at Walmart, while the chick in front of me is purchasing T bone steaks, and top of the line chicken and brandname foods. Wtf is that? Get off this "mexicans are draining our tax dollars" , hell they're not the ones on welfare, its our own damn people. Tell americans to get up off their lazy asses and get a real job.
Stop collecting off the hard workers. My tax money that is taken out every week from my check goes to government programs I can't evne take part in, beacuse I WORK FOR A LIVING.

The way I look at it is.. If we can send troops over to IRAQ to make their government more civilized and feed other countries, etc... and all the lovely things we do for 3rd world countries, then by god we should go over to Mexico, and assist them with getting the mexican residents in mexico higher paying jobs. Their jobs over there suck. That's why they all come here. We pay 9,10,11, 12 dollars an hour. If they paid more an hour over in Mexico, we wouldn't have them crossing our borders.

Because Mexico doesn't have the same freedoms there that WE have here in the U.S. If they run around and protest over there, they get shot and/or sent to prison. They fear their government but here they take advantage of our government! Plus, Mexico doesn't care about "political correctness" like we do which is part of our biggest problems!

They have no reason to because they come up here illegally and steal our benefits and cause our taxes to go up and steal jobs that Americans could be doing
