There really isn't a problem with the cat drinking out of the toilet. Just make sure its flushed all the time! :-)
The other thing you can do if you really do not want her drinking out of it is keep the bathroom door closed or keep the toilet seat closed. And always make sure you have clean water in her bowl.

its not gonna hurt her as long as you dont have none of those toilet freshners with bleach, or the blue things in there...its the same water that runs thru your pipes....it just sounds gross to some people, but there are many cats and dogs that do this....if you want her to stop , keep the bathroom door closed and then she will learn to go to her bowl..just putting the toilet seat down is not the best idea...she will still try to get in there and if she is smart enough she might find a way to get the lid open enough and then she'll get hurt...best thing is close the bathroom door.

Keep the lid down!
Some cats don't like their bowls changed. Guess yours is one of them!
Cats and dogs usually like toilets cause the water is cooler and fresher then in their bowl.
I have one cat that jumps up on the counter whenever we turn on the water in the kitchen or bathroom. He drinks the water coming out of the faucet being ever so careful not to get his feet wet! he-he We've noticed he doesn't jump up as often since we got a water bowl that recycles the water. It looks like a miniature water fall!

Maybe the cat just prefers porcelain. It may be time to try a different water bowl. Pets can be picky at times. If you have a plastic or metal bowl, try porcelain. The bowl for a cat is like a cup or glass for a human. Some people like bottled water, while others prefer their water in a glass. See if a different bowl helps bring your cat away from her habit.

Get the same type of bowl she had and keep the toilet lid down. Keep her water fresh several times a day and toss in a couple of ice cubes. Cats like very fresh water. That is part of the appeal of toilet water... it is flushed often.

Change her drinking water a couple times a day -make sure it's clean and cool.
Keep the toilet closed at all times. The toilet is filled with germs. Here's something to think about ...every time you flush the toilet and the water splashes around the drops of water with urine and fecal matter spray around the bathroom. Where are YOUR toothbrushes?

My cat was doing the same thing or knocking his bowl over and drinking from the floor until we got him the fresh flow cat fountain and he wants nothing but. We tried a generic brand one and the noise of the motor scared him just FYI

keep the toilet lid down.
Make sure her water bowl is clean and the water is cold.
If it continues, you might consider taking her to a vet for a checkup.

My cat does that too! We put down the toilet lid, and he drinks
out of his bowl.

If your cat goes to the restroom in the toilet, there isn't much you can do to stop her from drinking from it then, since you have to keep the toilet lid up.
