Savannah (aka Savvy)

...I found her as a kitten almost 4 years ago while walking my dog, Ozzie. She was so little and dirty and skinny. She seemed to come out of nowhere, walked right to me (ignoring Ozzie completely) and sat at my feet and meowed and meowed and meowed... I hated cats up to that point! LOL ... =o)

I scooped her up and headed back to my place, which she quickly made her own. All of my friends and family commented on how striking she is, saying how she's such a pretty cat (pale green eyes, all white with gray patches on her back and a gray tail, tiger-striped)! She was so feminine and even seemed to walk with a switch! I knew her name should be something "pretty," something feminine, a name she would have to carry with a switch in her step, ya know? Like an actress's name...

I had just seen "E! True Hollywood Story" a couple of weeks before and it stuck in my head forever. They covered Savannah, an exceptionally beautiful porn star who became very successful at a young age, but got caught in a downward spiral, driving her to commit suicide at the age of 22. It really was a tragic story. I decided to name my cat after her... And, boy! She wears it well. Everyone agrees that no other name would have suited her.

My Savvy is way too classy for porn, though...

=o)

Sam, Hera, and Lily

Hera got her name because my little brother had a dream that a cat came to our house and its name was Herold. A week later, a cat came to our house, but since she was female, she got the name Hera.

The other two names were just kind of pulled from thin air. Sam (or versions of Sam) seems to be a common cat name.

My first cat is named Rectangles. She was born when I was in pre-school and we are learning shapes that day, so she was given the name Rectangles, but we call her Rex for short. She is a Manx [no-tail] and is about 14 years old. My second cat is named Little Bit. He was a tiny little kitten when I recieved him as a present, but he is now one year old and 17 pounds. He is a mancoon.

Huey, Chloe, Sassafras and Angel. I've had cats named Tiger, Butterscotch, Misty and Precious. Never name your cat Precious...it's insulting to the cat's pride.
