I've heard the U.S. Army allows up to 14 days for hometown recruiting, but how does one know exactly how much time is actually allowed for each individual?

I was home for 30 days in the Navy. It may be different in the Army.

Yes it is 14 days, plus the ordnary 10 days leave if the next duty station is in the US. 14 hometown recruit + 14 days leave if the next duty station is overseas.

My husband was home for 14 days with the Marine Corps. They can find out at basic training how long they can come home for.

even though you have hometown recruiting in your contract(like i did) you have to score top 10% in your ait class..for whatever you mos is....belive me i didnt get it because i didnt score top 10. BUT as long as you get your top ten percent then you get 14 days

yeah its about two weeks maybe a little more maybe a little less.
