That is true to a point because confidence adds to the beauty of the total person. I find that when I meet a new person, initially I may think they are average or even a little plain. Once knowing, the person if they are funny, confident, kind, friendly, etc. I find them much more physically attractive. That goes the other way too. Someone I find very attractive acts like a jerk and I can't help but think how repulsive they are/look.

It is quite possible that you could weigh 500 pounds, have greasy hair, halitosis maxi mus, green teeth, bad disposition, and still think yourself beautiful. Ask a friend if he or she thinks if you are attractive. Tell them to be honest. A true friend might tell you. "You are fat, you stink and you need to do something about your farting." This will shift your perception into the sphere of "How do others perceive me?" and yes it is important to stand back and look at yourself thru the eyes of someone else, if only for the reason that it can cause you to change yourself in a positive way. i.e. stop eating oreos with your fat burger, clean yourself up, and stop yelling at your mom.

Wish more people thought that way...but most people go for beauty on the outside since that is the first thing you see...before seeing the true beauty on the inside. I always saw outside beauty as a shell and the inner beauty is what made the person who they were...their core.

What I have seen in my life, beauty means nothing in life. Some of the most unattractive people can get the good looking men. I am pretty, but I don't see any guys chasing after me.

I'm 46 years old, and I suppose to some folks I would just look like a middle aged mother and grandmother, BUT to me...........I FEEL like I look like I always did. To be blunt, HOT.
My husband still thinks I have it going on too. That may be why I feel good about myself. LOLOLOL
