Another few places are, church, cultural events, concerts and at the park.

Yahoo Personals is a good start this way you can talk set a future date to meet and try to reach that goal.
Learn ever thing about each other you can.
Thing about Yahoo Personals is the person you chat with over the Internet there's things you will be able to to tell and say you never would say face to face [ not nasty ] just things that you both like to see what you have in common.
This way you know what to expect its also good to keep notes and ask the same question as if you may have forgotten.
Then see if you get the same answer then you know if they are honest and truthfully because as you know this is the BASE of what kind of relationship you wish to be in the rest of you life.

One more thing when its time to meet I don't care how much you think the person is trustworthy take a friend with you and than go from there.

It can be tough in small towns, but churches are better than bars for meeting good partners. Sometimes the grapevine will let you know if anybody in the close area is available if you talk with the other ladies in town.

You could try some date sites like match.com or date.com. There are many others. I met my gf on date.com. They say match.com is good also. I met some nice people on there just becareful. It is really hard to met people when you dont get out much or you have kids. I dont drink so I didnt go to bars or clubs to met people. Dont think I really wanted someone from there anyway. Good luck. Try a search on dating. You will find more than you are looking for.

I like to think that the best way to meet folks of like mind is to find folks when you are going about your NORMAL business. Just do what you are normally doing and you can meet men if you are available. Otherwise, when you look one never finds.
