MSN messenger and Yahoo Messenger will not interfere with each other. You can install and run both normally.
One alternative is to run a multi-protocol chat program like Trillian or Gaim. You won't have all the features, but if you don't care about that then it makes things simpler.

Just sign into Yahoo, and download Messenger with Voice.

There is an application which hosts several common IM protocols call Trillian. It can handle the primary operations such as chat but may not handle the additional features of either msn or yahoo IM applications such as desktop sharing (which is iffy anyways if you are on the net.)

very soon you wun need it cos MSN messenger will interoperate with Yahoo messenger. I think it's happening some time next month.

download the latest version (7.5) not the beta, from the yahoo page... sign in with ur exisitng id.. or create a new one from the messenger only.. and use!!!

very easy. Go to www.yahoo .com. On home page u see the yahoo messanger icon. click it and download.
