Anyone that can play with your mind in such a cruel manner is not worth your respect or time. I know its hard but try and forget it and move on.

First, you haven't met the right person. Second, there are a lot of culturally-specific assumptions in what you ask. The romantic period of love is very much glorified in movies, books, music, etc... in western culture. It doesn't last that long and is followed by the hard part: The actual work of relationship-building. Third, you're obviously a very A-type personality if you think at 21, you're at the height of your career. Gosh! I hope not! Life would be pretty sad for somebody that peaks at such a young age - there would only be downhill to go from there! I sure hope life has more in store for you. But it does give me an indication why this falling in love thing would be more difficult for you than many people: A types get a lot accomplished, but they tend to be calculating. So the letting go part would be more difficult for you. It's an important part of the process. If you plan and calculate everything in your life, abandoning yourself to another person is going to be difficult. But again, see point number 1: Maybe you simply haven't met the right person. And finally, is this really about wanting tobe in love or is it about meeting cultural expectations? If this is not where you're at, this is not where you're at. Maybe there are other things taking priority in your life right now. What's wrong with that?

take it as a lesson so that when u get into another relationship and the person is playing games with u, u will know straight up. im sorry about this, just try to forget the person by getting busy all the time and keeping the person out of ur mind and heart.

You just have to move on. Time is the best healer. Life does go on. Unfortunately, this person will keep playing games, and he just thinks its a joke and doesn't realize/or care who he hurts. Take care.

lol this happened to me but it backfired on him, i knew he was playing games so i just stopped answering his calls, now he can't stand it that a girl actually dumped him and still tries to get in contact 18 months+ on. you just got to get on with your life, get out there, and spend time with your friends, they are more important to me than any man could be. i was still in love with him when i decided enough was enough, i made the mistake of answering the phone to him about a year ago and he told me his best friend had died in a car accident and would i please meet hi, i did cos i felt so sorry for him, then found out 2 weeks later, he had lied and his friend was still very much alive!!! he lied so I'd meet him cos he realised i was wise to his game and he knew the only way i'd meet him was to trick me. now, will never make the same mistake of talking to him. just ignore him, if you love someone, you don't play games with them.

Everyone deserves to be forgiven but take it as a lesson learned. Think of it as its their lost not yours.
