You have to change your eating habits radically (and stick to it) and keep up your exercises.
I lost more than 25 kg in two months after changing to macro-biotic food. I now only eat brown rice, lentils, porridge, vegetables and fresh fruit. I no longer eat any processed or pre-prepared food, no bread, and nothing that contains any added sugar. And I only drink water and tea.
I am lighter, healthier, fitter, happier and have more energy.

I'm 40 and I lost that spare tire.. My body looks like a 24 year olds... How I did it: Cut my eating down, and for 7 days straight I ran 5 miles everyday. The running burned it right off... Now, I run 3 miles 3X a week..

Eat more! Sounds counter-intuitive, but by eating less you are training your body to get by on less. I have made that mistake before and it causes me to plateau in my wieght. When I eat more it gives my body fuel for intense cardio and continues to burn fat the rest of the day. You have to play around with it, it's hard to find that right mix for your body between exercise and eating.

Buddy, you are 40 you are never going to be 20 again. It's just the physical body. Don't worry about it so much.
