I have checked my "Startup" folder under c/docs and settings/owner/startmenu/programs. I have also checked in Preferences under the Tools tab in Realplayer. Am I missing something?

1) Go to start.
2) Select Run.
3) Type in "msconfig" .
4) The system configuration utility will open up.
5) Open the services tab.
6) De-select the real (or something like it option).

There's a great little program called "CodeStuff Starter" thatI have on all my PCs. It lets you control the startup programs, also lets you stop programs that are running at any time.

got to start, go to "run", type in "msconfig", go to start up, there will be a list of all programs, disable it from there

Disable it when not required.
