The account is found in Genesis 6:1-4: It speaks of the sons of God finding the daughters of men beautiful, taking them as wives and having children by them. Some feel that this phrase "sons of God" refers only to men. If that were so, why is the description set off in the account as something special, something different? After all, humans had been marrying and having children since Adam and Eve – there was nothing noteworthy about that. But the implication here is that their marriage to daughters of men exacerbated the badness on earth. For instance, verse four describes the Nephilim – a Hebrew word that means fellers (that is fellers of men, causing them to fall), giants, mighty men. If these sons of God who married the women were merely human men and not supernatural beings, that is, angels, why is it that their offspring are referred to this way, that is, the men of fame, men of renown, the Nephilim?

These sons of God must have been angels and cohabitating with human females would render any offspring unique, mighty. Peter supports this view at 1 Peter 3:19-20. There he speaks of the spirits in prison who had once been disobedient when the patience of God was waiting in Noah's days. Jude also, at Jude 6, talks about the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their proper dwelling place. Angels of course had the power to materialize human bodies, and did so on occasion when on assignment from God. But these angels apparently did so with a view to living on earth with women – therefore forsaking their heavenly home and assignments to have sexual relations with women – which was a perversion for them. From the foregoing, and supporting scriptures from Peter and Jude, it would seem that these sons of God were not merely human males but rather, spirit creatures – angelic creatures.

The Biblical evidence is a little less clear than Mr Mister makes out, as it is fairly well attested that the Isaiah / Ezekiel passages are talking about the Babylonian emperor and the King of Tyre respectively, not Satan.

The passage you are thinking about is Genesis 6:1-7. It is the opinion of some that this passage refers to angels interbreeding with people, but I am not convinced. The 'angels', if that is what they were, are called the 'sons of God', which is an ambiguous title all through the Bible. Furthermore, 6:4 seems to suggest that the Nephelim are merely men. So, it is not a necessary inference of the passage that anything supernatural went on. The wickedness spoken of may be a reference to the 'men of renown' marrying multiple women (in rebellion against Gen 2:24).

About Lucifer and cast out angels.

They are not aliens. They are fallen angels. There are three heavens – II Corinthians 12:3. God rules from the third heaven. Lucifer was created to serve Him, but he sinned and it was the sin of pride and God cast him out of the third heaven, Isaiah 14:12 to 14, and Ezekiel 28, verses 14 to 16 tell the story. And we find that he then controlled heavens 1 and 2. That's why he's called the prince of the power of the air, Ephesians 2:2. That's why Ephesians 6:12 says that we as humans wrestle against evil spirits in high places. Heavens 1 and 2 are full of these demonic spirits. For when Satan fell, he took one third of the angels of heaven with him in Revelation 12, verse 4. So they are out there and we have to be on guard every minute as we wait on the Holy Spirit to fill us and give us power to defeat these Satanic forces who often try to attack us.

During the 16 centuries after Satan deceived Eve, Satan succeeded in turning away nearly all humans except a few faithful ones, such asAbel, Enoch and Noah. (Hebrews11:4,5,7).
In Noah's day, other angels rebelled against God. They left their place in God's family, came down to the earth, and tookon fleshly bodies. Why? We read at Genesis6:2:"The sons of the true God began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good looking: and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose." This is how the Giants came about, they were the ofspring of those angels and human women. But God did not allow the actions of those angels and the resulting corruption of mankind to go on. He bought upon the earth a global flood that swept away all the wicked humansand preserved his faithful servants.(Genesis7:17,23) Thus the rebelious angels or demons, were forced to abandon their fleshly bodiesand return to heaven as spirit creatures. They put the, mselves on the side of Satan, who became the ruler of the demons.(Mathew9:34).When the disobedient angels returned to heaven, they were treated as outcasts, like their ruler satan.(2Peter2:4) Although they are now unable to take on human bodies, they still excercise a very bad influenceover humans. In fact, with the help of these demons, Satan "is misleading the entireinhabited earth."(Revelation12:9;1John5:19) How? Mainly the demons use methods designed to mislead people.(2Corinthians2:11). I hope this helps, but, If you have any questions about my answer email me and I will elaborate any point you wish after more research!

When the question from the saducies was asked to Jesus about the women married to the seven brothers after each one died, who would be her husband in Heaven? He told them none that they would be like the Anlgels, Angels are ministering spirits, they can not reproduce. So who were these Angels that John and Jude talked about? And who were the Sons of God and the daughters of men? If the Sons of god in this particular scripture were actually Angels than through other places of the Bible would be contradicting. But we all know that God will not contradict his word. Any thing in the Bible that you think contradicts itself is not a contradiction at all. It is stated for somthing else. Like all man kind, does not mean just men. Same as in the Bible. I would love to answer your question but it took me a long time just to say this. So if you E-Mail me at dnnybartels@yahoo I will give you a phone number to call me. I can tell you in a few minutes. If I wright it it would take hours. The book of Deuteronomy it states when God divided the nations among there inheritances he kept Israel for himself. Who did he give the nations to? Please E-Mail me and I will explain.

Yes,at Genesis6:1-4 gives us the account of the angels who looked down from Heaven upon the earth and lusted after the women, materialised human bodies and came upon the earth, married human women and as a result of the union between spirit and human, the offspring were mighty cruel giants called Nephilim.
At Rev.12:7-9 we are given the account of the war that broke out in heaven as Jesus started ruling as King, and Satan and his demons were thrown out of heaven and cast down to the vicinity of the earth.

No they left their habitation.

THE SONS OF GOD
That there was a fall of the angels is certain from Jude 6.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
The nature of their fall is clearly stated, they left their own “habitation” (oiketerion) in Greek, this word being used only one other place II Cor.5:2 where it is translated (spiritual) “house”.
The nature of their sin is stated to be “in like manner” to Sodom and Gomorrah Jude 7.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
The time of their fall is given “in the days of Noah”.
I Pet.3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; I Pet.3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
II Pet.2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Their progeny, called (Nephilim) translated “giants”, were monsters of iniquity; and being superhuman in size and character, had to be destroyed. This was the one and only object of Noah’s deluge. Only Noah and his family had preserved their pedigree pure from Adam. All the rest of the Adamites had become corrupt.
It was God’s plan that from umbilical cord to umbilical cord would come Christ. Since God’s planting in Eden Satan and fallen angels have tried to disrupt this plan. This is the parable of the tares of the field.
Matt.13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; Matt.13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Matt.13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Matt.13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Matt.13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Matt.13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
A deep subject and this is only a brief version of the subject.

the events preceding were he was jealous of God, and he wanted to be God, so he took a third of the angels and rebelled. hence the I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' You see, Satan, was filled with pride, thinking he as the best, and better than God, which is why people say pride is a bad thing. It can consume some of us even to the point where we think we are better than God.

Genesis chapter 6:1-4 refers to "sons of God" mating with the "daughters of men" and then in verse 4 we see there were "giants in the earth". It is my understanding that everywhere else in the OT, "sons of God" only refers to angels, but perhaps I'm mistaken on this. It is important to remember that God is speaking to people who are not as developed in scientifiic and psychological understanding as we are. Therefore, this passage may not be referring to direct breeding. For example, the fallen angels (aka demons) could have possessed men, used them to mate with women, and then performed genetic alterations to make "supermen", which would be the giants. The demons may have been exhilirated by sex in the same sense that a rapist is; by exerting power over another. The writer would not have the scientific understanding or the psychological understanding that we possess today; therefore, his account would be much more simplified. While the genetic alteration did create mighty men, it did not cure the evil of their hearts. Therefore, the greater power allowed them to do greater evil. God's solution was to cleanse the genetic taint with the Great Flood.

Or some people thinks the "sons of God" were men who followed God and they married women who did not ("daughters of men"). There offspring became "mighty men which were of old, men of renown", but they rejected God. The problem with this interpretation is "sons of God" refers to angels when used elsewhere in the OT (unless I'm mistaken) and it does not explain why the children would be better than normal as is stated in the passage.

Sounds like aliens to me. And if Ezekiel is not describing a close encounter of the third kind then I don't what he's talking about.
