When I was in college, my best friend was a woman. We share many things togather, we use to hang out and party, go shopping togather and we just had a great friendship without sex. I truly loved her with all my heart and she loved me like crazy. Now the women I dated couldn't deal with our friendship. But I always gave the women I dated the up most respect. There are times when you may want each other but you don't want to kill the friendship. Even today my friendships with many women are important to me. I believe sometimes women just need an ear to listen. Questions for the ladies: Can you be best friends with a male without sex? If you became lovers would it hurt your friendship?

of course you can! my best friend and I hung out for 6 months, what made him my best friend he never asked for sex .And we always had the best time together ! we end up getting married ..stayed married for 17 yrs..

Yes i do have a best friend thats a guy and their's been no sex involved...i have a lot of guy friends actually i'll hug them at the most(for like physical stuff)no sex though
hmmmm..the lover's question is a little tougher the only way it wouldn't change your friendship is as long as its a friends w/benefits deal going on...where u wouldn't care about doing each other,cause u know it's not going any farther then just friends w/benefits.As long as the women wouldn't want more afterwards then yeah..cause i did have one of those too,it didn't hurt the friendship,i didn't do it w/a best friend though it was just a guy friend and it was just sex nothing else i didn't want to date him or nothing just be friends and do him.

A man and a woman can be best friends. My friend's (female) best friend is a guy and they have known each other for 20 years. They are still best friends and nothing has ever happened between the two of them.
I am a girl and I also have a very close (male) friend. However, we had sex .... after a party ;-) In the first days afterwards we felt quite awkward about it but in the end we got along with the situation. We are still friends.
It is possible to be friends, but you need to be honest about it.

My fiance and I were best friends all through college. Each of us dated other people and we always remained best friends without any kind of sexual contact. We moved in together and remained best friends for a year.
Then we added sex to the relationship and now we are getting married. If you do add sex to the best friend relationships i think it either kills the relationship or leads you down a very commited road.

Yes you can be friends with a male without sex. Happens every day. I have lots of male friends. It does cause jealousy with your mate and is difficult when you are married. Your spous will tend to want all of the attention and not share it with another female.

I was impressed by your attitude and life of yours and your good girl friend. You should be proud that its pretty rare to have a girl as a best friend when you're a boy. OK, first and foremost, I CAN BE best friends with a male without sex. Duh. And if you become lovers, it definitely won't hurt your friendship unless you just fought/argue over something major. My best friend is a woman, and a ******* beautiful one, and I have no problems not wanting to put my hands on her. The friendship means more than anything to me, and beautiful and all, she's sorta just one of the boys to me on most days.

Of course had a best freind who was female there were plenty of times where she could have taken advantage of me due to incapacitation but she never did and I knew how she felt toward me we never had sex and I never felt threated by her nor does my wife and whe know of my friends feelings for me which are a little more than I feel but we've talked about it a have still remained best of friends.

yes it is possible be best friend without sex but it is difficult stay just as a friend... ussualy time change feelings and at least one of them became fall in love to secound.... then or nahi dosti or is more beautifull.... it depend from cases... and ppl
