I am just trying to figure out whether saying I love you too much could be a bad thing.

You don't want to say it too often to a strong willed independant non clingy person. It'll get on their nerves.

Actions speak louder than words. A good saying to remember. Everything is more special and BELIEVABLE if it is sporadic and a surprise. Keep it for when you REALLY feel it (otherwise when you stop saying it all the time they will wonder why ). The rest of the time think how you can show it. Words are easy to say and actions are more of a sacrifice.

The Egyptians believed if they knew the name of ur God they could remove it's power through sorcery. If love is ur God, and you stating it too much to an unreceptive audiance, it could loose it's power. Our christian God spoke life into most every living thing. The spoken word has much power, so does the nature and direction of the heart. Depends on whos side ur on.

I told and showed my wife how much i loved her for eons, every day, i said, "I love you darling, you are the most beautiful girl in the universe. I bought her a Mercedes and a house in Spain, I gave her her freedom, we were perfect for years and then she left me. She did mention that my telling her i loved her so many times, made it become meaningless. I have now remarried and my new wife tells me every day, "I love you." I will never take her words for granted. Some women are from another planet, they are wierd.

If one's heart fells as if it needs to tell their love , i love you every once in a while . There's nothing wrong with that their are people out there that can even get their mates to even say i love .,,,,, let alone i love you . So that go's to show your a very good man!!

It's not too much if you mean it but don't let it turn into habbit. Saying I love you at random times shows that you mean it.

It's only if you say it and don't mean it at the time, or if you use it to fill conversation, ALL THE TIME, instead of thinking up a topic.

yes ... there is one scenario.... when the person cheats on you and tried to hide it on you... he/she will be extra loving and will say more i love yous in one day then in his/her total life...
don't take this as a guide line.... but this happens... trust me.... its a 1 in 100 chances.....
