They say 90% to justify their own behaviour. The more commonplace, healthy, and 'natural' a thing is considered to be in society, the more acceptable it becomes.
It is interesting, how 'angry' people become when they are faced with any hint of restrictions. Of course is it a dirty habit. People change with the times.
Soon those of 'the world' will be offended if you innocently mention that child pornography is wrong. Then they will be accusing you of being a repugnant human for not believing your husband should be watching 'that!' Gradualism, and moral decay in action and living colour. Just give it about 20 years, and beastiality will be an acceptable stress reliever too - healthy, and doctor prescribed....

Oh, you are misguided. If you had read the bible, you would understand that Onan's sin was not masturbation but that he didn't use his seed to impregnate his brother's wife. It wasn't about masturbation in the first place. It was about him pulling out. And to throw that argument out the window, we're all misinterpreting the bible when we quote it, since we don't have the original, so there's not even a real point to arguing over specifics anyways. The truth is, most men--and boys who have begun to mature--masturbate. It's a healthy activity. There are men who don't, but that's the nature of things. Perhaps that idiom you used about 90% of men is an overstatement--perhaps it is an understatement, but it is part of our culture and you can't throw away idioms as you please. If it displeases you, watch every man in the world for every moment of his life and see if it's the truth. If you can't do that, then there isn't a reason to complain because you can't change it. This is just angry ranting, and rather pointless at that. Accept it. Most, if not all, men masturbate. That is the point of the idiom you quoted. Leave it at that.

hard subject.. however most do it. only 5 to 7% of the U.S.A, Australia, England and most of europe is religious.
ie: when i say religious i mean not only go to church or synagogue on saturday or sunday, but live their whole life religiously.
Probably closer to 2 to 3% completely religious.
With those 2 to 3 % however i would worry about how release is met by those who claim not to via masturbation. i am not saying its not possible, but it is certainly an enjoyable way to do it.
(the bible, torah, koran) are all interpretations of the times it was founded ie: many many many moons ago. Those stories and interpretations haven't changed, but time has, and laws as we know them have continuously. Religion is only law and in the most basic form.
Masturbation as an action is basic however the reasons people do it is a combination of many things and basically the reality is, it is an outlet of one form. Stress relief, end of frustration period, pure fantasy etc etc
I would worry about people without any form of release.
obviously i am not religious. And i really think that religion is not good for this reason. no matter which religion we are talking about, it is generally a set of laws which we have democratically all updated and live by those laws.
One can be kind, generous, nice, not perverse, respectful of other races and religions with being a masturbater and without being religious. Also the belief in a god of some description doesnt mean one religion is right or wrong, just differently interpreted as a god.
and last but not least, how do you know 101% that he is not masturbating ??? because he is religious and not a liar????
maybe just embarrassed to admit it, most immature kids are. (and adults)

Masturbation? christianity? GOD? what is all this mumbo jumbo about, I mean, how masturbation ended up being a sin? its a natural human action, animals do it!!! dogs, dolphins, monkeys, where they go when they die, hell? dont thik so. I dont care how many men masturbate and how many don't. I happen to masturbate very often, and I have a girlfriend, and she knows it. I study, i work, i do good deeds, i don't see myself in hell because I play with my penis, my balls or my anus, god doens't forbid that because that action does not cause any damage or pain or problem to anybody else, is your body, you are not even hurting your body. I could even bet you DO masturbate but since you feel so guilty you just want to make everybody else feel guilty. If not, baby, just leave that thought behind and have some fun, you are missing a lot right there... ;)))

hiya, at first masturbation does not have something to do with how plenty money or fabric property you have. all human beings has desires, incredibly sexual desires and in case you're no longer having intercourse then masturbation is the subsequent terrific element. i've got heard some human beings experience guilt from doing it even though it rather is all very organic and you rather shouldn't experience accountable approximately it. actually everyone masturbates, definite even actors and your individuals :p. possibly those acquaintances purely opt to pose and act as though they are too proud to confess it. they opt to look "severe type" and universal. wish I helped!

You are a female!!!!! And a female that obviously chooses to believe what you want to believe. Where would you get your info that not all men masturbate? Your boyfriend told you he didn't? Maybe he knows what your reaction will be, so he doesn't tell you the truth.
maybe he doesn't feel it is as sinful as you feel. And if he does, then he lives with his own demons, not yours.
I guess maybe all men don't, but all men HAVE. My husband has definitely no need anymore, as he and I are very, very, active in this department, but let's say I was gone for 1-2 weeks, and we were talking dirty on the phone to each other, or he had an erotic movie on, He would probably, no, definitely want to relieve himself. Is this too much for your ears (eyes?) It is the world, girl.
Get comfortable with it and know that it has nothing to do with you, or something you aren't doing correctly.
By the way, the next thing I say is for you to really hear: If you continue on this path of controlled thoughts and trying to force them on your man, you will suck as a wife. pay attention to your God-given intution. He's probably wondering when the Heck it is going to kick in for you!

How sad. There are so many wonderful ideals within Christianity and then people like you who have to give Christians a bad name.
It is pathetic that your religion has made you so judgmental and prudish. It is pitiful that you believe that self pleasure is a sinful act.
Sexuality is a biological fact. Whether you choose to believe that we evolved or were created, hormones and male sexual desire are a fact of life. Idiots like you expect males to never masturbate, wait until marriage before they have sex, and then only enjoy sexual release with a spouse in the sacred act of trying to conceive a child. How naive and narrow you are. Not only do you have these beliefs but you choose to broadcast them on the Internet for all to see.
I pity your husband, he is going to freak out when he realizes he picked a crazy.

There are only two kinds of people in the world. Those that masturbate, and those that lie about it.
There is a third but they don't really count, they are those that are physically or mentally incapable of masturbating.

I think there is no sin in masturbating. It is better than a forced sexual intercourse. Any normal person may have the tendency to masturbate, irrespective of the gender. No need to bring-in the Lord.
