Due to the nature of the Internet, these haters are provided with a relatively safe haven to spout their anti-Catholic/Christian bigotry.
You see, they are all too cowardice to act that way in public, but repercussions online are minimal.
But you know what? That same relative safety is also granted to the faithful. And we can counter their bias, bigotry, and hatred with God's Truth, thus exposing these people for the fools they are.

Some people can't prove their point very well, because, well, they don't have a point. That remark about the Blessed Mother is a classic example of brain dead syndrome.
As for the "love" of God, you can't keep it however. Children suffer every single day, for thousands, literally thousands of years, and God can stop it, he just chooses not to, and there is no getting around it. You can't rationalize it away. Tonight a child, an innocent child will be beaten, or go to bed starving, or even die miserably, yet, the lord "loves" all his children and is performing miracles here on earth.
ROYAL CRAP and I will NOT wait another minute for him to get around to helping us fix it, which he certainly could, but apparently either can't, or won't. Just has to be one or the other, because I will not listen to the "grand plan" that involves thousands of years of crying children.
Pitch in and lets get the job done. Stop staring into space, and start helping someone who needs help. Spread love and compassion where God won't.
This is called reality.

What can we rescue from the Catholic Church:
Banco Ambrosiano, Second World War, the massacres of Latin America of the 70's, the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, the raping of altar boys or orphans. Where do we start?
Are these God teachings?

Most of the world is against Christians, of course there will be an anti-christian attitude on this board.
As far as respect goes, I think that has gone down the toilet with so much other things in the past years.

Most christians on this board are liek you, well tempered, decent people. You've asked a civilised question, so we'll respect you and give you a civilised answer. Unfortunatly, some people on this board either pity our lack of faith, think they can change us, or patronise us by declaring god loves us and that we're blind if we cant see him. Respect our views, stop telling us your god loves us, and leave the preaching at home

It's because there are so many evangelical Christians here and us atheists are tired of being continually converted. But I agree, referring to Mary as 'God's $lut' is indeed very offensive, and I wouldn't stand for it either.

i know. i'm roman catholic and this is why i don't visit this category very often. we all have our own religions, lack of one included, but i really don't think it's right to say something bad about something. people have no right to do that but since this yahoo service is free, i guess this is the place where all haters (racists, sexists, homophobes, some rude atheists [not all, i know some that still have respect and values in them]) gather and shout their feelings out, though most of the time it's offensive.
i know no religion is perfect, nothing in this world is but nothing justifies this kind of disrespect toward something a lot of people believe in. don't worry though, a lot of these people are getting reported everyday.

Okay, because you believe in the subject that people are trashing, is why you think there are sooo many of them. Look through and see how many "believer" have trashed those who don't are are not tolerant to those who do not believe in "their god" Apparently allot of us are going to hell, will burn for eternity, and so on and so forth. Not to mention those who constantly "hound" the gay community. So truly there is balance...If you choose to see it...

Some of them are trolling, and some are bigots.
They certainly aren't the tolerant ones. I'm not religious but I really respect Christians. :-)
Good luck in your heavenly quest! I believe in re-incarnation.

Your mission, if you accept it, is to manifest that Holy Spirit. Let God handle the judgement. In the mean time, enjoy that ranting, and raving.
