I am a Muslim and I love Allah so much. I feel Him keeping my company, but sometimes spirituality does not save me from feeling so utterly lonely; do you ever feel this? What do you do then?

Wow! I did not expect such a shower of answers in such a short period of time! Thank you, friends out there. I really appreciate it.
I would like to make just one little thing clear; that feeling lonely does not, and should not, make us question Allah. We are humans. It is only natural that we sometimes feel lonely, sad, angry, frustrated, disappointed, etc. Being close to Allah does help me out; when it doesn't, I know that it is me who is not feeling the presence of Allah as He is there.
You have all given me wonderful ideas. Now with all the answers I got, I don't feel as lonely as I did before asking the question :)

Your love for your creator is good, just remember that he is always with you even when you are feeling lonely as you are never truly alone. please do not dis-pare, and feel the warmth of his love for you with in your heart and this will bring you unbounded joy.
And yes, I am quite certain that at times all living persons feel lonely at one time or another, and some more often than others, so if you are asking if it is normal, it is, and although it is unpleasant it is often temporary, and through the understanding of it you will be capable of a greater appreciation of those times when you are not lonely.

First thing, do a reality check. Think about it. You love Allah, but, Allah doesn't really do anything. Classic. Religion is a placebo. It makes you feel like you are going somewhere, but, it really didn't do anything for you, at all.
Get grounded in real life and stay away from the pretend life of Gods and beings who still make people feel bad, yet, are "always there for you". Crap.
Join a club, or activity like a singles club or something. Get a hobby, get a sport, make new friends. It's called reality. Take the money you give your church for their rent, and give it to a child who really needs it.
And stop praising a grand being who certainly has the power to help abused children, yet, for some unknown reason, has clearly chosen not to.
Go help the kids yourself, lead a good life, make lots of friends, spread love, not hate, and leave your God in the dust.

When I'm lonely, I picked up the Holy Qur'an and start reading... I'll then feel like the whole Planet Earth is living with me...
I feel very happy and very proud of being a Muslim.

I curl up in the fetal position and cry. I cry for hours and hours because I just want to die from loneliness. Ice cream, and praying, and sitting on swings...that only makes it worse. Because then I see all the lovers around me, and I realize there is no hope. None whatsoever.
So I cry. All day and all night.

I started the first miserable b*stards club. Once a month we gather to spill our guts about all that is wrong in our lives, its a great way to meet people and realize that your life is not as bad as some others....

Playing guitar, jam on electric drums, drawing, calling a friend, helping someone you know who needs it...don't let loneliness win, you will become isolated and physically ill.
