two types -
1. They are extremely happy. it is tears of Joy.
2. At the end of the wedding ceremony specially the bride and her parents cry because it is a time that they leave each other temporarily. This really happens in Asian countries. Daughters live together with their parents until get married and wedding is the day that they leave their parents.

Sometimes people cry at weddings because they havent found that Mr or Mrs right to spend the rest of their lives with, so they are sad, yet happy for the couple. Its emotional because marriage is such a big thing. You want the couple to be happy forever, and finally these two people have united as one. If you are a deep sort of character you will understand this process.

Ya know, I've only been to one wedding that I cried at and I honestly couldnt tell you why I cried, all I know is I couldnt stop crying. My best friend of 18 years got married in April and I was the Maid of Honor. I'm getting married soon too, so I just dont know why I criend. I was very happy for her, not jealous at all, and yet I cried. When I heard her voice (she read a poem before walking down the aisle) I just couldnt stop. I dont know what came over me.

Because weddings can generate very strong emotions to some persons, and they create like this a psychotic effect to the other people involved.

Because they are happy for the couple are there could be a secondary reason which is when one crys the other crys allot like yawning.
An addiction science cannot explain.
You cry I cry
You yawn I yawn

Because you see these two people looking so lovely and young and happy with their lives and then there's all this talk about them growing old together, even in sickness and in poverty and 'until death do us part' and all the other gloomy stuff about 'forsaking all others'... Its kind of depressing, like an ending rather than a beginning.

Raw emotion to be witnessing first-hand a life altering event. Relief that all the work, choices, fights, stress--is finallly over for now. Thinking about the cost per plate and the credit card bills. (okay, the last one I threw in - sorry to the brides' dads out there!)

the men cry because they lose every bit of their freedom and they don't realize it until she says I DO and its to late to turn back from there.... The other men cry because they told him how it would be and he didn't listen so it makes them upset that he is another lost soul.... LOL..
j/k I'm married and I love it, people cry because it makes them happy to see other people getting the opportunity to experience how great being married really is.. (until everything changes but that's another subject)
