If you met a lady and she says she doesn't want a relationship and you say that's what your looking for and you two go out and things go really well, what would your next move be or would there be one? That happened to me and I'm just trying to figure out if he isn't interested in me or if it's because I said I am not ready for a relationship.

I've already been told the lady doesn't want a relationship which means she just wants friendship. Fair enough..
There wouldn't really be 'another move' the woman's already set the rules. I'd expect her to call me.
And I wouldn't expect the women to get peeved because I didn't start hitting on her or chasing her. If she wants more from the friendship, I'd expect her to make up her mind, does she want a friend, a lover, or a relationship.
I'd be confused.

If you told me your not looking for a relationship and went out anyway, I'd look at it as a night out with a pretty lady but, still move on. You've already make your intention quite clear and I'm not anybodys fool !!!

So you spoke too soon huh?!! Now you don't know if you want to keep your end of the bargain? He however seems to holding up his end of the agreement.

I would tell you that if you want to change the paradigm you need to sit down and talk about it. Tell him you have never got on so well with anyone else before, ya di ya di ya, that you want to know if he would be open to a relationship. if he says 'yes' you are in , if he says no, you now know where you stand.

If the lady went out with me after I told her that I was looking for a relationship.. that would give me hope. And if things went well that would only give me more hope. So I defnitely would be looking for more than just friends from this lady.

well, obviously he heard you and because -according to you-you were both looking for something different, he has probably decided to forget you and moved on with his search. If this had happened to me - as the guy - and I felt that you were the one I wanted, I would have pursued you but if you were simply a nice person then there would be no reason to try and convince you that we should continue.

When A women says she is not looking for a relationship, i know its a downright lie.

So either I want the relationship and play along... will soon change minds

Either I dont and when she gets serious I make it stop.

hope that helped.

A relationship means a lot of different things to different people...
...for some folks, it brings to mind a lot of bad memories...

Honestly, my next move would be to wait a week...and if I really liked you...call you back and see if you wanted to go out again just for fun...NOT as a relationship...

if you said no...I'd wait for your call.
if you said yes...we'd still have fun.

Its better to tell what u want earliest. Because if u come to know after one year that he/she has nothing for u. Its big waste and u can not start a fresh. It hurts. Early u come to know, early u can look for other. Dont play hide and seek.

People need different things in relationship at different times.

Maybe she wants a good friend in the first instance?

What is it that you seek?

Listen to her, talk with her, let things develop as they do.
