Only one of mine are fixed. It is your decision. If you have it fixed, it is supposed to be good for the dog. The one that is fixed is a Pitt Bull and he is a big baby.

In my opinion, no. However, temperament is an important consideration when thinking about altering him. Is he aggressive or dominating? If so, neutering can help overcome these problems. If, on the other hand, your dog has a normal temperament, neutering is more a question of convenience. Generally, he will become more mellow, to a degree, and may put on weight. You won't have to worry about "accidental" breeding too. However will also less strong than if he wasn't altered. I personally wouldn't want to do it because it just seems to take away from their being and character, but if you've got a big dog and don't want to deal with unwanted puppies or behavioral problems, then neutering is a good option.

Definitely. Male dogs tend to get prostate problems as they grow older among many other things if they aren't neutered. Male dogs will also be less destructive around the house and cause you less hassle. If you are worried about the cost, a shelter can do it for much cheaper than a vet.

It depends on you and your dog.
If you keep him confined and NEVER let him roam, and if he doesn't tend to be aggressive, there is no reason why you can't leave him intact.
There are health benefits for altering, as well as leaving him intact. Unaltered dogs can get testicular cancer, and altered dogs have a much higher rate (30% I think) of bone cancer. Unaltered dogs have more muscle mass which is important if you plan on doing any dog sports, altered dogs tend to get hurt more. It is a personal choice that only you can make.
If you do choose to not neuter, make sure you are responsible. We don't need any more unwanted dogs ending up in our shelters

Yes absolutely! It is good for your dog and good for your neighborhood - helps prevent unwanted puppies. Neutering can also help with some temperament problems.
