its hard what you want to do, if you approach he might think you foward, if you stay back he might get someone else. i'd say just go tellhim privately and genuinley that you fancy him.
eg
Hi, can we talk in private?
okay there is something i would like you to know, i dont know its you may have picked it up but this is it. i have very special feelings for you and I was hoping there would be a chance that you feel the same way too. I am not holding you to anything I just wanted to let you know coz maybe there is a chance that we can talk further about my feelings. do you have anything to say about the way I feel? well get over your nerves go up to him pin him up and kiss him lol nah joking just take him somewhere quite and tell him it better if you get him alone tho cause if he hanging round his mates he might just turn you down just to impress his mates so best thin to do is take him somewhere quite and tell him.
