Have two amazing cats that i love with all my heart. But one of my friends is allergic to them big time. Is there a Medication, herb or even shot that makes a person not allergic or less allergic to a cat? Esp. living with them?!

Try claritin. My mom is allergic to cats and she has 3 cats. The claritin helps but you need to take it daily. Do not get the benidryl shot the above person is speaking of. That shot lasts less then 24 hours and its pointless to get. Benedryl tablets also differ from the shot. The tablets are an antihistamine where as the shot is for pain and bacterial infections. they gave it to me when my appendix went out

There seem to be a number of different therapies out there. Google "treating cat allergies" for a whole bunch of sites.

benadryl is a good anti-histamine, it will stop the allergic reaction, it is also avalable from a dr in a shot
