You created the world and all of the wonderful things in it. You made possible all the wonderful endulgences that make life rich. So why do you condemn Man for enjoying what you have given Him?

God wants us to worship him, not what he's created. If you mean over-indulging in sex, food, money, etc., that would be worshipping the creation more than the creator. God wants us to enjoy his creation but with limits.

Furthermore, God is not opposed to science. In fact, great scientists in history were also lovers of God. Matthew Fontaine Maury is a great example. His Wikipedia biography is here:

Another example would be Copernicus, the man who proved that the earth revolves around the sun. His bio here:

Science has only been inconflict with the Bible when science or creation is venerated above the Creator God.
