Depends on the severity of the problem that the braces are trying to correct. Some variables include whether you have a severe gap (such as those caused when teeth are pulled out by dentists) whehter you have a overbite/underbite etc. Also if you are wearing devices that the orthodontist gives you like headgear or rubberbands...which also depend on your case. Perhaps if your teeth aren't all that bad to begin with you won't have to wear any of it! Happy Smiling!

To complete the treatment so that you are also finished with the retainer; it took 8 years for me. I was in braces for at least three years.

I have braces now. Before I got them I had to get 8 teeth pulled. When I actually got them put on, it took like 45 minutes. Usually they will tell you how long they think you will have braces when the Orthodontist sees you. I have to have them on for 18 months.

I like the other answer of depends on the grill but it also depends on the dentist and how much of a vacation he needs... :) Just be careful when you go out exploring the possibilities but don't jump on the first one, get a few opinions. If finance is all they discuss, then it's the wrong place for you :)

It relies upon on how crooked your enamel are, how properly you do each thing your orthodontist tells you (like weraing your elastics, lacking appointments, breaking brackets, and so on.) it is everywhere from one million-6 years, or maybe longer than that. the known is approximately 2-3 years, in spite of the indisputable fact that it easily relies upon on you! or maybe whilst your braces come off, it maintains with the retainers. frequently the 1st 6 months to one million year, you're able to desire to positioned on them 24/7. After that, basically at evening. and at last, some nights each week. wish your journey isnt too undesirable, purely have fun with your smile whilst they arrive off, and make specific to positioned on your retainers as directed.

I had mine for 2 years. Just like with everything, everyone is different. Your orthodontist will be able to give you an estimate of the time frame.
