The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day sainst is the true church.
You are of course right in saying that the cathlic church is the wrong church, especially as you study how they adopted pagan teachings and how many atrocities the popes committed. However if the Cathlic church is wrong which church do you chose? Practlicly every sing denomination of the 600,000 denominations are branched off the Cathlic church. If the Cathlic church is wrong then so are the denominations that branched out from it.
It is also impossible for anyone to look at ancient texts and find out how the true church acted. Our current views on christianity would get in the way. As well as the fact that most text have translation errors, and of course that there is no book saying exactly how the church should be run. The current texts that mainstream christianiy uses are debated constantly in their interpretations by all denominations.
God must do as he has always done in the past, call a prophet to reveal the truth and restore the church onto the earth. God has always called a prophet to preach the truth and restore the gospel, if you have read the bible, as you have hinted you do, then you know this. He called a prophet many years ago, he restored the church, along with the twelve apostles, the same organization of christs true early church. We are still led by a prophet. Look at this website to learn more or contact me if you wish.

Which religion is right...for you? or others or in general?
Actually it really is about a relationship with Jesus Christ. One must carefully & prayfully look for a church that follows the teachings of the Holy Bible since we are called to congregate together (Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
There are alot of great resources out there to help a person locate a good bible believing church! May the Lord bless ya as you seek the truth.

Since you know so much, why don't you enlighten us.
By the way, what do you think this passage (by the Apostle Paul) means?
1 Cor.9
7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?
8 Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain."* Is it oxen God is concerned about? 10 Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? 12 If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more?
Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar? 14 Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

Christianity isn't a religion. Christianity is a way of life... Jesus himself wasn't too fond of religious people. Religion is based on rules and regulations. Christianity acknowledges that there is from little to no way that we could ever observe ALL the rules ALL the time... now, we have someone who defends us when we are wrong.
As for which denomination is exactly right??? None of them that I've seen because each of them has managed to leave out or add to... and that quite frankly is dangerous.
I'm an ordained minister in one of the largest protestant denominations in the U.S. I've studied with pastors and bishops from several denominations and I can tell you this: rule books are not the way to go... the Bible says it like this: Seek first thee kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all these other things will be added to you.

All divisions among the Christians have their own defects. Hence, none can be termed as Right and therefore, none can be less wrong than the other. Following of Christ is hereditary in most of the cases rather than by exercise of ones own conscience and free will. Unknowingly we are being exploited by our society by being loaded with ideas when we are innocent enough to react and protest.
After our mind is conditioned to accept a given pattern of thoughts and reject others which do not conform to the conditioned thinking, we are no longer free to think as much as an otherwise open mind is capable of.

Faith in Jesus Christ is the most important thing, not in Idols or in a religion that twists the scripture. If your unsure, pray to God for guidance about where you should be. Personally, I go to a Baptist Church and I love it I feel it is right, but other denominations are 'right' for other people aswell. It all depends on where you feel at home. I have friends that feel more at home in the alliance church.
►Check out this booklet below on 10 reasons to beleive in "Christ not Religion". you can even order it for free if you want. ( or just read it on the internet. Its really interesting.

Paul changed the true Christianity that Jesus PBUH preached. Paul (used to be Saul) betrayed Jesus and corrupted Christianity. Only Islam which is the final and eternal version of the true religion of God is valid today, and this claim is evidence based. Every body is supposed to do his home work and do the search for the truth and on this and the good deeds, the fate of him will be decided. It is unfair just on the basis of easy believe of salvation with no regard to good or bad deeds that human fate will be decided.

Probably all the denominations have lots of doctrinal problems. But the true Church are the people who follow the words of God as laid out in the Bible. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
And also Romans 8:1
However lots of churches say that they believe that then make works and sacrements part of salvation, but then they are adding to scripture.
The true Church of Christ is made up of individual believers and not any denomination
