How do you know it is gastroenteritis? Has your pup been checked by a Vet? Has your pup been innoculated?

There is virus attacking puppies, called Korman virus. One of my dogs contracted it and spent a week in the Vet hospital. Symptoms were diarrhoea and vomitting (Same as gastroenteritis). He had to be on a conntinuous drip, saline/glucose and antibiotics.

Feel your puppy's nose. is it dry? Warm? Is his coat dull in appearance? What form does the diarrhoea take? Any sign of muccus? Blood?

I advise you to take your puppy to the Vet immediately. Hopefully it will be gastroenteritis as you think and some antibiotics will help get him/her back on track, but you cannot be sure, reason why he needs to go the Vet.

Hope your puppy gets better soon!

What exactly do you mean by "suffering from gastro"?

Is he/she vomiting? If so at 12 weeks old I would take it to the vet.
