I have a 53 inch big screen tv with cathode ray tubes CRT.My problem is that every once in awhile my screen colors will seperate and bow in the screen. It kind of looks like three colors are seperating red yellow and blue.I had it taken to the shop that I bought it from but they said they couldn't find any thing wrong with it the very next day they brought it back it was doing it again and is getting worse and lasting longer. What's the problem?

Find a better repair shop, sounds like a simple case of having a bad connection on the convergence output ICs, which is very common.

hi, there are many facts to be considered on your tv problem. for sure your tv is new right? consider these,,,, your antenna is old or not aligned well to where the signal is coming from.remember that signals travels tru waves and bounces on a hard surface.now even changes its direction depending on the direction of the wind.meaning while your viewing, all of the sudden the wind blew harder or changes direction, causes interruption on your tv resulting the color seperation you mentioned..calibrate your antenna well.maybe it'll fix the problem..(",)

Do you have an unshielded speakers near the TV? A subwoofer maybe?

CRTs are susceptible to magnets and I've done experiments where placing magnets near a TV will cause color distortions like you have described.

the convergence IC's are starting to go south on you, get the set repaired by a competent technician.
