I was on the phone talking to my ex-boyfriend one night and he told me some serious things...things like how he misses me and how he is so addicted to me. Keep in mind that my ex does have a girlfriend already. I asked him how could he feel this way when he has a girl already and he told me that its hard categorizing me. Then we started saying love nicknames such as baby, boo, sweetheart, etc. He says that he is in love with his girlfriend, but he can't seem to let me go because I was his 1st love and that he still into me. It was really late and we are really food friends now. It shocked me to know that he still has feelings for me. Do you think he was sincere or was he just talking because he was sleepy. Do people say what they mean when they are sleepy, or do they just talk? Thanks

It is hard to generalize on this one but here goes.....As a rule when we are sleep deprived we maintain functions that we must have like speech, vision, thought, and the like.....we also let non essential functions like pretense, caution, logic, thought and speech filtration, etc. slip away from us.
In all probability what you heard from him was honest feelings while all of the walls that protect him were down. A first love is never forgotten by anyone and retains a special place in everyone's heart, as you obviously do in his. Does this mean that you will be together....probably not! Does this mean that he is comfortable in sharing his emotions with you....yes! Accept that graciously and hope for no more than that. His dying day he will still remember your name and the vision of your face has been burned into his memory forever.
"He can't seem to let go?".....he never will completely and will always wonder what "might have been"........you well may have the good fortune to make that impression on more than one...who knows? Accept it for what it is....a first love....and go forward with your life! There will, I assure you, be many more!

His feelings about you and his relationship with the new girl may be confusing him. He is with her, and yet has deep, unresolved feelings for you. Or it all may have been a load of bull-crap to string you along and manipulate you. Trust you instincts. But no, I don't think sleepiness had anything to do with it.

No..he saying the truth. people will not say this even in sleepy except in drunk.
But..you have to realize that he is not worthy for you. he is cheating on his gf even you both don't have physic contact but as mentally he is counted as cheating on her.

no, i asked my dad for a hundred dollars when he was half asleep, he said yes. then the next day i asked him if he really meant that he was going to give me a hundred dollars, he said "when did i say that"! also some people let out somethings that they are trying to keep secret when they are half asleep sometimes.

you rboy friend might have been drunk....
other than that...
No sleep for long amounts of time can make a person delerious...
but no sleep for 24 hours can't
