Try to reduce the amount you drink each day. If you now drink 4, cut back to 3 for a week. Try pouring 1/2 of a 12 oz can into a smaller glass filled with ice. Enjoy, and save the rest of the can for later. If you drink a coke, make sure that you drink at least 1 full glass of ice water, if not 2, before you treat yourself to another coke. Thats how you can cut back to less. As the weeks go by your goal is to drink less. set yourself a goal, like 1 can a day. This is perfectly reasonable. You do not need to cut coke out entirely, just reduce the amount you drink each day. Thats the way to control your cravings. Limitation.

I had the same problem when I was a little younger. As in, I just cannot stop drinking coke. My parents regulated it and now I can control drinking coke. You can do the same! It is a matter of discipline.

Switch to diet. If you can't this should still work:

Slowly dilute the soda with cold water over time until you can ween yourself off completely. You might even find you like the diluted solution better because it has the fizz and the cola taste without being blanded out by sugar.

Switch to diet then slowly switch to caffeine free then switch to water or whatever you like. It's the caffeine your addicted to. Me too. But get off the Sugar stuff and on to diet. It will be an easier transition then just cold turkey.

carbonated drinks are great but not very good if taken too much. For women, it makes them prone to UTI (makes the vaginal pH alkaline) and it contains a bit of caffeine too so it can be a stimulant. One other thing, it's sweet ..... not good for those with a familial history of diabetes.

Its like any addiction you need to fight the cravings.
