No, it's a ploy to make us buy more stuff.

Most of the changes to TV over the past few years could have been incorporated into one big shake-up. But no, they came out one at a time and we fell for it. So I've got TVs, digiboxes, DVD recorders, satellite decoders - enough already.

Let's start a new movement. We won't buy HD until you give us something worth watching!

No. It's just new technology. I saw an HD tv in Costco the other day and it was amazing. You felt as if you were with the people on the tv, not just watching them.

no i dont think its a ploy in about 5 years from now thats all well be able to watch and tvs that we have now wont work properly.

Yes of course it is! Not from the manufacturers' viewpoint of course, they want to sell tellies but don't care if you don't switch them on. But plugging of the format by TV companies is just another attempt to freshen up a sixty-year-old idea that is, frankly, tired and emotional.

you must never have seen one. you need to check one out, specially sporting events like boxing, fighting, football, basketball, etc look incredibly improved.
