I own one, and I am not trailor park trash, a gangster, or a drug dealer. I am a married mother of one. My dog is the sweetest thing ever. So until you have met me or my dog, don't assume anything. It is how they are raised and what they are taught. Why do you hate Pitts?

I bet you don't even know what a pit bull looks like. A test done by the ASPCA shows that 75% of the people taking the test could not pick out the pit bulls and these were people who breed and show dogs. The pit bull was recognized by AKC in 1898 as a true breed. In the description of the the it as it is loyal and adores children. People are upset because it's WRONG!
These dogs are members of peoples families for the most part and because of a handful of irresponsible idiots those family members are ripped from their owners and put to death.
How would you like it if the law said one of your children had to be euthanized because the neighbors kid continually misbehaved?
Breed bans anywhere are just foolish.If the irresponsible owners faced far stiffer penalty there would be far fewer dangerous dogs!

Actually, agressiveness in pitt bulls is in the training and conditioning it recieves as a puppy. I could train a regular, every day golden retriever to be expremely agressive towards everyone but me, but I wouldn't do it. Pitts are not naturally aggressive dogs, it's the owners who make them that way so they can fight them. They deffinitely do NOT eat babies for breakfast. Or else I wouldn't be here!! My mother had a pitt bull when I was born, and she would lay down next to me and was very protective of me. When I got older, she followed me around the house like I was her puppy. Honestly, if pitt bulls should all be killed off because of the mistreatment some of them have recieved, then all dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and animals in general should be killed off. Because they all recieve inhumane treatment at the hands of humans. Or better yet, we could kill off all the children in foster homes who were abuses or neglected. It's the same thing. Think before you randomly believe idiotic stereotypes.

well for one thing its not the pits fought, it the darn owner that need to be shot....they r the ones who taught the dog to behave that way. i have a pit and she is sweet as gold and no one better not shot her. thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
