why are more and more people rude and or stupid these days? are there people out there that realize this? maybe i am just old fashioned but what ever happened to please and thank you? and why must people think that the person behind the counter should be yelled at? after all they are just employees and do not make the policies. everyone should work with the public just once to see what it is like... maybe then we would not have so many darn jerks!!tell me what you think!

I have no clue why people act this way. When I was a cashier I was shocked at the way adults behave. Really they become like those children you see at stores screaming to there mother they want candy or a toy and start stomping there feed and waving there hands and crying.
Only thing I can think of is alot of it has to do with consumer culture.

I agree hunni, i have worked in the customer service field for over 10 years now and people take their crap out on the person who is serving them. It sucks but is true. I worked at Sears for 6 years, and the crap i had to put up with was crazy. now i am working as a census taker, and there is nothing worse than having doors slammed in your face. i finally told one chick off tonight. there is a breaking point within all of us.....

hehe, i am a counselor at a youth sports camp, so i mostly just deal with kids....sometimes they're a pain, but they at least aren't rude the way that adults can be. This one mother earlier this week was being sooo rude...grr

actually it's the people who have worked in public places that get pissed off at idiots that don't know how to do a stupid friggin job. and more people just act more stupid.

most kids just dont really care about anything. they like to do their own thing and dont like to be told what to do. they think its cool to act out and to be ignorant. because thats what everyone else is doing. its somewhat of a chain reaction. i do notice it. i ignore them. i dont give them the time of day. they want attention obviously by being obnoxoious and rude. just dont give it to them

IT IS A FACT THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE NATURALLY RUDE EITHER BECAUSE THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO BE RUDE OR THEIR ENVIRONMENT HAS TAUGHT THEM TO BE RUDE.
WHAT WE CAN DO?
Educate them if they are interested. Otherwise, just ignore them and hope that someday they will meet someone who can really make them good.
