My cat is black and has had eye discharge ever since we got her. At first vet gave me ointment but that didn't stop it. I use to wet a cotton ball with water then a little proxide and wiped around her eyes, be very careful not to get in the eye. But finally I started to give her Cod Oil capsules and hers eye are much better then ever. I poke a needle hole and put it on her wet food put the capsule also. She loves it and eats it right up.I bought the capsules from drug store and give her 1 a day.

Theres this stuff you can buy from petsmart or petco and use to clean it with. Use it every couple a days. I use it on my dog and its safe for cats too. You just use a q-tip and pour a little bit of this liqiud on it and gently rub it under the cats eyes and it'll come right out (its a type of stain remover for the fur) Its safe and harmless to the animal.

You can put vaseline under its eyes. It's stains but the vaseline helps. My poodle has the same problem. But Mom kept my poodle for me for a couple of wks my poodle loves bologna so mom fed her bologna sometimes. Her eyes looked horrible when I picked her up!! I wondered if diet had something to do with it since after a couple of wks it was gone????????

Just clean it off with a tissue and a bit of water. The same thing happens with my cat and that's all I do. She's grey, though, so it's not as noticeable.

His tear ducts at the inside corners of his eyes may be blocked. If you massage them with your thumb you may be able to open them.
