I will be having a small get together party for my birthday on Saturday. I invited a lot of actor-friend-types and some ex-employee friends and only one, a person I have a bit of a crush on has said yes he'd like to go. Problem is, the people who ARE coming, are somewhat dwarfish ex-employee-friends of mine. I don't want him to come now, because I know he'll be bored, and I don't really want to make my employee friends uncomfortable (I think?). He said he really would like to come.. I sort have said no, and now I feel I've made a wrong decision (I'm sure he knows I'm really stuck about this as well)

Invite him, by not letting him go is no way to treat a relationship. Just worn him as to what it is going to be like.

Heck, let the guy come to the party!!! It's just a party and there are lots of boring ones. Just introduce him to everyone, and make him feel comfortable. He might be a great assett to you networking with all of your friends. You have nothing to lose.

I think your being foolish. There is a saying..."you get out of it, what you put into it"...another saying..."your friends say alot about you, as you are just like them"...so if your party is going to be boring because of the ppl you have there, your probably boring as well...
