having never been a guy, I don't know how easy or hard it is to ask a girl out.
But as a women, I find it very difficult to ask a guy out and more than likely would drop hints so he know I want him to ask me out.
Age is a factor here as well, while an older women would be more traditional and wait for the guy, younger girls are more liberal and its more acceptable for a girl to ask a guy out.

Comon dude ,its always the girl asking guy out easier .In my life i was asked by the gal and when i asked her out the second time it was much difficult dont know why may be i am all muscle no brain duhhhhh....

it is easier for the guy as that is what is expected and it does not put the girl at a disadvantage in holding back her attentions coyly as is normal.
once the girl asks, the mystery is pretty much over and it spoils the game.

i think it depends on the person, some girls may not have the guts to do it, other may be brave enough...and then there is the whole social stigma where guys "are supposed to be the ones to ask a girl out"...but..if it would be easier..i think it's easier for girls to turn guys down that guys to turn girls down..but that is my own personal view...so i think it is easier for girls...if they do it :P

it depends on if you're shy and the same goes for her. its also depends on if you're really interesteed in this person
