First of all i am not christian, and yes i respect your right to be an atheist but i do come from a family of christians. They found and still find it hard to come to terms that i do not believe in what they believe in. They respect it tho. You should also be the same. Respect the fact that they have a belief, that doesnt mean u have to share it. If u dont want to hear what they have to say then tell them so. regretfully u just may have copped the wrong end of the stick and only met the stereotypes out there that do not encompass all good christians.
Let it go, they shouldnt have to explain their religion or belief. And NEITHER SHOULD U.

By nature, I can see there is a God, but then again that is my opinion. I am very different and more special then an ant, I was created to have free will, a conscience and a soul. May I simply point out one thing very important, I say "I" meaning sadly that I don't speak for ALL Christians. I am no more special than any other human, we are all sinners; I am not proud to say that some Christians are fake about their faith, abuse the forgiving power of God, I can understand where you are coming from, I simply have faith. I agree that it takes a lot more work to be a Christian than an atheist, I know that there are people better than me out there that are not Christians. I've just seen the effects of God, no he has never spoke to me and I've never had a vision of him, but the effects of prayer and nature make me believe. That is just what I believe.

A Christian has no business thinking he or she is better than a non-Christian. Jesus illustrated why this is so in the parable of the Good Samaritan; a priest and a Levite ignore the injured man, but a Samaritan - despised by Jews - helps him. Jesus really tore into the religious conservatives of the day, the Pharisees, for such "holier-than-thou" behavior, and every time he did, the Gospels record, the Pharisees resolved to kill him. [This is what Mel Gibson did not dare say in "The Passion of the Christ," and why that movie, though accurate in terms of what it depicted, was ultimately unsatisfying.]
Jesus declined to stay dead.
I would think we are slightly more special than ants, as the latter certainly have no lasting achievements other than sheer survival.
For those of us who do believe in God, he will judge us according to our behavior and our attitude toward others in this life. And if we're wrong about Jesus and the Resurrection, well, St. Paul has already said it: we're the biggest fools that ever lived. I'll risk that. Christianity, if honestly followed (and conservatives are unable to be Christians despite what they profess) is a pretty decent philosophy: love one another as you would love yourself (and if you don't love yourself, you really are in trouble and need help).

So you are saying that you are no better than the ooze that comes from moss on a rock in Nigeria? Since you are a part of nature, and all living things are the same.... that's some strange logic. Personally, I think I am better than the ooze. I think YOU are better than the ooze. What on earth gives you the idea that I think I am better than you? I am a 26 year old waitress in Oklahoma with 3 kids for God's sake! There are plenty of people out there better than me. You may be one of them. The only thing is this: God has different standards than man. I don't know where I rank in those standards right now, but I will do my best to please Him and move up.

I can only tell you from my experiences around the world that I have decided to settle down with Christianity. Some people (like me) who are easily influenced by people in life need some boundries in order to lead a clean, healthy lifestyle. I have done things in my life that I have regretted and have chosen to wear a cross around my neck so that people will immediately recognize what I stand for and not try sway me in a direction, that I am easily swayed, yet don't really want to. The people you hang out with either have a positive impact or a negative impact on your life- with Christians it can only be a positive impact!

by making use of nature, i will see there's a God, yet having mentioned that this is my opinion. i'm very distinctive and extra particular then an ant, i replace into created to have loose will, a feeling of right and incorrect and a soul. could I basically factor out one ingredient significant, I say "I" meaning regrettably that i do no longer communicate for ALL Christians. i'm not extra particular than the different human, we are all sinners; i'm no longer proud to assert that some Christians are pretend approximately their faith, abuse the forgiving capacity of God, i will understand the place you're coming from, I basically have self belief. I agree that it takes lots extra artwork to be a Christian than an atheist, i comprehend that there are people extra clever than me available that are no longer Christians. i've got basically considered the outcomes of God, no he has under no circumstances spoke to me and that i've got under no circumstances had a imaginative and prescient of him, however the outcomes of prayer and nature make me have faith. this is basically what i think.

It's not arrogance, it's because we're going to heaven and the non-believers and atheists, polytheists, pagans (gods with a little "g") aren't. All our sins are wiped clean and will never be held against us because Jesus paid it for us.*
It's not really arrogance. Anyone can become a Christian. There's safety in knowing where you're going when you die, that's all. If you interpreted it as arrogance you're mistaken, I hope.
*All sins are forgiven except for one, that is the unforgivable sin of blaspheming God by rejecting Him.

I am a Christian and I do not believe that I am better than anybody. We are all the same, we are all created by the same wonderful God. We are all his wonderful creations.

Once you buy into the idea that you can know things without sufficient evidence, you have naturally set yourself up to believing you are better than others because of that 'gift'.
