It depends on if he is going to risk being found out. If the police are involved, you would get charged with assault, but if the illegal doesn't want to file charges, it might still be up to the officer to press charges against you.

Whether of not the police do anything about the illegal depends entirely on whether he is willing to cooperate with the police, or if he is angry about the assault.

If you put him in the hospital, there is no doubt that the police will press charges against you, and there is no doubt that the illegal will cooperate with the police.

As for deporting him, depends also on what part of the country you live in. I have noticed that illegals have a harder and harder time avoiding deportation the further north you go.

If you live in Texas or Arizona, he won't get deported. If you live in New York City or Montpelier Vermont, you can bet on it.

Of course he can file charges. It's part of the civil law. The police cannot arrest him for being an illegal immigrant. Police officers are not immigration employees. They serve to protect the innocent party from the offending party which is you having hit this person. BEWARE!!!

Do you really think an Illegal Alien is going to visit the local Police Station?

On the other hand, Illegal Aliens can easily buy a gun and kill you.

If I were you I would not hit any of them.

The police wouldn't just ask him if he is here illegally, and yes if you hit someone they can file Battery Charges against you no matter who they are.

YES he can. His lack of legal status does not make something violent that you do legal and inconsequential by some kind of magic.
