He has a plan for everyone, a plan of happiness, and that is that everyone earn the privelege of returning to his presence.
It would definitely make him more happy for us to fulfill his plan, therefore less happy if we don't.
He doesn't need for us to fulfill his plan, but we do!
He does desire for us to fulfill his plan and return to his presence.
Ok, if it makes you feel better to think that God lacks something he cannot have unless we fulfill it, then fine. I don't really think of it in that fashion, but ultimately I guess it comes to the same thing, regardless of semantics.
I'm sorry it doesn't make sense to you, seriously. It's a pretty simple plan, really.
We left his presence to learn and grow and hopefully make choices that would lead us back to him. He want us to return to his presence. He loves us and wants us back.
He wants the best for us, just like a loving father wants his kids to grow up and be happy. He is our loving Father, and he wants us to choose the paths that will make us happiest.
He lets us make our own choices because that is where we learn and grow.
It's a pretty good plan, I think.

God can certainly have a plan for everyone, as he is the ultimate and original creator of all.
God is all that way, is, and will ever will be, so he will always be perfectly happy with those who choose him, and he will still love those who do not choose him, and forgive those who seek true forgiveness from him.
God doesn't "need" anything, as he is the one and almighty Creator, but he WANTS your love and sacrifice, and he wants you to experience true salvation.
Every human that has ever lived has felt a longing and desire in their life. Humans always manage to fill this void, one way or another. In modern times, we fill it through Television, music, alcohol and obviously even other darker distraction such as drugs, the Internet, and pornography.
Sometimes the "whole plan thing" doesn't make a lick of sense to me either, but I simply try to have faith in the Lord God. If we don't have faith in hope in God and the teachings of his son Jesus Christ, we risk experiencing hopelessness and all the darkness that life has to offer. I don't wish that darkness upon anyone.

Perhaps a better way to consider it is that god is nor a he nor a she, god is an essence of love, consideration, beauty, energy. Perhaps this essence is what we all wish to feel and to attain. Personally I do not think there is a man waiting at some pearly gates, I believe the idea of religion was brought about to give us something to strive for and to teach us that of which those before us upheld. But honestly if you love yourself and respect others, you will have a good life, and that is what the spiritual side of us is for.

Keep asking these types of questions and you will sooon realize that an omni-perfect being would have been eternally self sufficient in all regards. Such a being has no need to even exist, let alone create anything.

That is a way of explaining bad things that happen so people feel better... on the other hand sometimes things will happen and work out so well it seems like magic. There is a force at work, what it is , who knows?

God is imaginary. You don't have to fulfill anyone's plan but your own.

We (all of us) are children of God. We belong to him (Psalm 100). God is in heaven, and we are on earth.
God is spirit (wind). God gave man free-well, hence man has choices. The sum of all man's choices is his path.
So let's take about God's plan: it is in the Chrisian bible. It is with the message. But what about the Christian bible? It is on of your choices.
