in womens profiles i always read that they're independent. to me that means that they really just dont want a man and thats why they're still single. am i wrong?

yes you are wrong, being independent does not mean a woman has no interest in a man or a mate.... it means she has no problem surviving on her own, taking care of herself... therefore she is more able to choose a mate because she loves him and wants to be with him, instead of just looking for a meal ticket...

sometimes they say independents because they just dont want the responsabilities and duties of married women, they like to have their job, get their own money and depend on themselves, but i dont see that like independence, they are still salve of the boos or the customers or clients depending on what type of job they have. free is the woman that has a good husband so she has true love and understanding and support and she is free from tough work, she is comfortable at home, perfom some duties and then can rest and have some healthy fun with children and husband.

Yes u r wrong ! well being independent means that they can take care of themselves.They dont want to depend on others.But that dosent mean they dont want a man.Im also a inedependent Girl.I make my own money scince im 14 years old.i can do all my work (like cooking,washing,shopping, & everything) alone without the help of others.But that doesnt mean I dont want a man,But if there's no one else, I DONT CARE !!

well being independent means that they can take care of themselves...most women like that, want a man that is equal to them and can compliment them....if they dont meet those standards, they usually move on...they figure..."i worked hard to get here and i deserve a little better.."

Independent means they are able to take care of theirselves without anyone else's assistance. Doesn't mean they don't want a man, means they don't need one.

no u r not wrong and most of the time it means that they dont really want a man it is so that society dont say nothing about them really, really, wanting a woman. they have that (WHAT WILL PEOPLE THINK) syndrome.
