It is a Blessing that Jesus saved my soul. It is a miracle that He saved me. I thought i was too far gone.I felt nobody cared, or loved me. Then one day He spoke to my heart, and changed me. It is wonderful knowing Jesus as your savior. He gave me peace and love.

In my religion, to be blessed a priesthood holder lays their hands on your head and gives you a spoken blessing. Usually it's for someone who is sick, or to give a baby his/her name (not to be confused with baptism), or even fathers can do it when a child is about to start school and needs some extra help. It is a special kind of prayer.

A "blessing" can also be something we consider a gift from God, like say you've been praying so He will help you find a job and you find one that's exactly what you needed.

A blessing to me is a unforseen circumstance that is a great benifit to my life and well being. Children are a blessing, breathing is a blessing, and Waking up in the morning is a blessing. We fail to realize that we are not guaranteed tomorrow.

In Pastafarianism, a bowl of spaghetti falling upon your head is considering a blessing from his Noodly Appendage.

rAmen.

I'd say a blessing is merely a fortunate turn of events, nothing more.

A mercy from God even though you mess up and do wrong anyway God protects you from danger and brings a smile to your face inspite of your past.
