With great ease. They just open their mouths and let the words fly out.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

We have this suffering for the people who has heard this and do not believe, because the world will tell you all kind of stuff like" If you are a good person and you try to not to do any harm to other people, you are fine" They are not authorized to say so. Jesus can save you...but only if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior...This is not any god contest or cry for popularity. I rather be famous in Heaven than here in the earth.

They can say it because they can find "evidence" in scriptures to "prove" it. What one must realize, though, is that those words that they are reading in the bible are not the words of god, but the words of man - if anything, they should be taken metaphorically, like poetry, because man has never and will never know exactly what god is.

If you think of the statement in a poetic, metaphorical sense there is still just as much meaning. Take into consideration the idea that by finding all the things that Christ stood for in yourself, the goodness of heart, the desire to bring peace to mankind, the will to stand for what you believe is right - find that within yourself and you will find peace of mind and will be comforted in life - you will find god and will have no fear of death.

Forget all the fear-based means of control and it makes sense.

I am not a Christian. I will not label myself as being attached to any one religion, but I can see the metaphorical value of the words in the bible that Christians take so literally.

Jesus is not the only way to god, but if you can see the metaphor in the idea - it makes a lot more sense and it is a lot less discriminatory.

It is not the Christian that says. But God.

He is consistance since the Old Testament days, even before there are Hebrews.

In Gen 15:6, God says, he (Abraham) believed and was considered righteous. To be righteous in the eyes of God means to be acceptable, saved.

So, to be right with Goid, we need to believe and obey his word. Further back a few chapters, when Cain and Abel worship, Abel followed the instruction of sacrifice an animal, but Cain use vegatable and fruits. He did not follow the instruction of God, and his offer was not accepted.

Hab 2:4 says, the Just shall live by faith. What than is faith? In Heb 11:1 taught us, faith is substance hope for, but evident not found. This teaching was also echoing the teaching of Paul, when he says in Rom 5:1, been justified by faith.

So, what do we have faith on? On Christ as the way to God, and Jesus taught us, 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the father but thru me.'.

Paul simple put it, believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth, and Jesus is Lord and you will be saved!

Simple, yet so hard to believe. This is the truth, the love of God.

We now no more strifing to do do to please God. We now do not need our own effort to please him. However, Christian still do good, why? Because we are saved, and am grateful to the one who saved us. And we follow Jesus example of doing good t the poor.

Good question. Wish there was a clear cut answer. Out of all the religions in the world, Christianity emphatically states there is only one right way to Heaven. Everyone else says believe in your god and you're ok. Someone's got to be right, so it's probably the one that says you're not ok going your own way.

That is very easy, just open the mouth and form words with the breath that are understandable.

Now serious, it is in my opinion the faith of those who do call themselves Christians. It was the teaching of Jesus and those that are called Christians for some reason or another do declare or are declared to be followers of the teaching of Jesus.

Actually the teaching of Jesus is quite deep and in the depths the pure constantly consistent truth in his words are found. In one view since He is the justification he is the only way for one must be just and justified to stand before God in purity. [don't miss that word purity for all will stand before the throne of God for judgment in one way or another. Either with Jesus in purity or not in purity to be given precisely what is desired.

All this considered in my opinion the Christians mean to say that Jesus is the only way to God in PURITY.

Because we're just saying what Jesus said. Since He came down from Heaven and none of us have been up there, I think that He probably knows a lot more about coming to God than some person on this planet who has never seen God.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:10-18

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way. But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.".......Jesus Christ

All the other religions have merit as well. People have to believe that their religion is the one true religion to follow their faith correctly. Each book of worship is wrote outlining how it's disciples are expected to behave and how to acheive long lasting blessings through devout worship. Everyone wants protection and blessings, so they believe and follow as strongly as they can. This strong belief system has long caused wars, pain and suffering as well as goodness and healing. People need to believe in something and for Christians, it is Jesus.

Even though it is fiction, it is based on true facts, read the 'Da Vinci code' you get the idea why Christians (especially the narrow minded) say that their way is the only way. Don't forget, the bible has been written and re-written by men.

Because He said that "no one comes to the Father, except through me." People who claim that Jesus was simply a good moral teacher are overlooking His own words - He claimed to be the only way to salvation.
