Lately I have been having a hard time sleeping at night. Me and my mom are thinking that it is because i don't do all that much that in physical like exercising or doing other activities outside of the home. Cafiene wont work because that keeps me up. Also being in front of the computer and tv doesn't help all that much. Any tips??

I thank to God I can sleep under every conditions. I have read that is depends some on genetical factors.
Not being able to sleep may firstly because of not having much physical or mental activity during day. The activity should be equalt to your body can handle.
Secondly, it is because you are stucked on an issue you cannot solve.
Then you may do what I do in such a case. I belive in that when I sleep my mind will get clearer and if I have enough sleep I can find better solutions than I try to find out being sleepless. It has been usefull.
have a nice sleep like a little baby.

No more than 2 cups [6-10 oz. cups] of coffee or tea mornings. None after noon. You could try "Lite" coffees or decaf coffees & teas.

Eat a Baked Potato before bed. It slows the matabolism of the body & will help you sleep.

Exercise - even jumping jacks a while before bed time should help. Get any other exercise you can during the day.

Kava Kava & Valerian Root are two natural (herb) sleep aids; available at health food stores and some grocery stores.

No cold food or drink (for a few hours) before going to bed.

No refined sugar (for a few hours) before bed.

Deep breathing once you're in bed. Clear the mind while you're doing it. (Sometimes it takes practice.)

If you use an air conditioner, you might want to raise the temperature a few degrees. (Make it a little warmer.)

Is anything stressing (worrying) you lately? Try to solve the situation - or, at least, train yourself not to worry at bedtime. [Clear the mind.]

Hope it helps.

Peace.

Are you tense, worried, upset about anything? This causes you to be hyper so it keeps you from sleeping. Also being in front of the pc or tv keeps you awake, due to brightness of the light. Try reading under a softer light. Chamomile tea really works for me. Try some soft music.

you are probably right, you sound like you do need more exercise.
Also, If you are in to natural alternatives to sleep medications, ask your doctor, or mom if you could take melatonin, 3mg. before you go to bed.
Your body naturally makes this when a sensor in your eyes sense that its getting darker, but sometimes we don't make enough, so the pill helps.
Good luck!

i have trouble sleeping when there's too much sound or light in my room. if there's too much of that then try getting rid of it. a sure-fire way to get tired is to run a mile or something to burn yourself out.

some other things... try staring at the back of your eyelids until you get so bored you fall asleep.
