soul or spirit ......if you have done good things in your life it sgoes to the heaven ...if u hav done wrong things ,absolutely it goes to hell....and it becomes useles ..this is the truth .....

As per Hindu philosophy souls have rebirths till such time they wash of their wrong doings .The human form is supposed to be the highest form and a golden opportunity to wash off all past sins .During its existence in the human form it has a predetermind period to live in the physical form and after natural death it may take rebirth immediately or after some gestation period or it may not take rebirth at all and attain salvation.
If during its physical existence in the world the life is terminated prematuredly the soul/spirit has to remain in inanimated suspension in this world as a spirit without a physical body till its normall allotted period of time.The prematured death may be as a result of suicide or some accident, muder etc.These periods of inanimated suspense is a tough period for the spirits worse then the waiting period it has to undergo after natural death and before the next rebirth.
Well These are what I know of as per Hindu philosophy and to accept or believe or not are individuals decision.
In any case the phiolosophy doesnot recommend committing suicide since the remedy is worse than the discease.

You have to fully understand that anyone who dies lost and never accepted Jesus as their Savior will go to hell. When someone is born again by accepting Jesus as their savior, what takes place is what is called the circumsision of the soul from the body. It is completly separated from the body, and from that point on the soul belongs to Jesus no matter what.
Now satan is going to chase after Christians with a vengance, and do his very best to weaken their faith in God, and make them stumble in life. But the Christian will have the Holy spirit living inside them, convicting them of their sinful ways and they will repent of their sins, and the Lord will forgive them. Satan can do what ever he wishes to our bodies, but he can never touch our souls, for they belong to Jesus once we become saved by the blood of Christ thorugh accepting Him as our Savior. Try reading the book of JOB in the bible, and see what satan did to him.
Before we leave this world, we will have to pay for our sins in the flesh, and they will not be remembered in heaven when we get there. This is why it is important to have an ongoing relationship with Jesus every day, confessing our sinds to Him and asking for His forgivness. In life we were never promised it to be easy. We have life's cross to bear.
Anyone who commits suicide, is emotionally ill and very sick and not in their right mind. If they were A christian when satan talked them into that act of suicide, they will still go to heaven, but their rewards in heaven will not be as great as they would have been, if they waited for God to call them home when He decided it was time. Every act be it a good on or a bad one has it's own price, be it profit or debt.

I read a few books on near death experiences not long ago and the only 'negative' ones where those that tried to commit suicide. Whatever feeling you have at physical death continues.

Do you really think anyone in the world knows that? Many people will tell you what they believe, but nobody knows for sure. Every one that truely knows the answer are already dead. Please if you are contemplating suicide, talk to someone. (And definately not to someone from yahoo answers, there are alot of mean spirited people in here.) Good luck!

They say you'd go to hell..but I don't agree with it since no one really knows for sure. No one has ever come back to life from commiting suicide to tell us what happens. :)

if you commit suicide you go to hell because that is a sin. that is not an accident and god cant forgive you for that. it ain't worth it. there is more things in life that is venturous and exiting ahead of you and things eventually get better as life goes on!

Personally, as a protestant christian, I believe the soul will be damned to hell. I am sorry that I cannot give you exact scripture, but I am sure that it is mentioned somewhere in the bible.
