Before the earth wide flood, there were waters on the earth & waters over the earth. These created a hot-house-like effect. It was more humid, & earth was heated more evenly. This is demonstrated by the fact that herds of 'prehistoric' elephant-type animals have been found in the ice at the poles. The meat from their bodies had been frozen so quickly & thoroughly, that it was served in restaurants! The freeze must have occurred at the time of the earth-wide flood in Noah's day. Anyway ... the atmosphere, earthwide-habitat, abundance of food, & whatever other protection this water above the earth may have made possible & provided ... has been down on the earth since then. That's why the oceans cover most of the land, even with steep mountains above, and deep canyons below the water's surface. The change of habitat was SEVERE. The weather was affected. Food production. Possibly that layer of water above the earth had also been protection from the sun's harmful rays. So, man's lifespan in general took a DEEP plunge ... from one day (1 of God's days is likened to 1,000 man-years in the Bible) man's maximum lifespan abruptly dropped to around 70 to 80 years (less that 1/10th of one of God's 'days'!)

answer: No offense yet you needless to say have not accomplished a brilliant style of interpreting and examine in case you do no longer understand that Daniel and Psalms are books blanketed interior the Tanakh and all Christian OT's. Wiki isn't a competent source, the ineffective Sea scrolls predate Jesus and don't foretell approximately Jesus. The Torah become handed alongside by potential of oral learn and all adult adult males have been required to earnings. Genesis, being the initiating would have been some thing Jesus would have studied. No, the Torah become written down long beforehand the eleventh century, so become the Christian bible. i do no longer understand the place you're getting the eleventh century element. circulate do plenty extra examine on the councils and why they have been shaped (hint: to talk what books would be blanketed - they predate the eleventh century. in addition they debated whether Jesus become divine or no longer).

Their DNA hadn't had time to accumulate all of the mutations and imperfections that ours has now, so they probably didn't have as many illnesses or old age related problems. They also didn't have to deal with pollution or an awful environment. And they probably ate a lot more fruits and veggies than we do now, since that's what they were given to eat in the garden of Eden, so they may have avoided eating large amounts of meat like we love to do. Also, I'm not sure, but I think God may have put a limit on a man's life at some point. That may be completely unbiblical though.

of course they are not true in the accepted meaning of the word
so therefore it is a falsehood
and if god wrote the bible then
what follows?

yes he is indeed a funny guy

look people here is what really happened
at some point someone wanted to count back the generations to adam
they had an accepted time that had elapsed since adam
so they adjusted the ages of the fathers to fit this timeline
that's it
people are living longer as time goes by
the real first humans were lucky to live til 30

When God created the earth, direct sunlight could not be seen as we see it today. When God made the flood during the time of Noah, He promised Noah that He would not send a worldwide flood again, and made it possible for Noah and those that followed him would see a rainbow. I personnaly believe the atmoshere of the world changed dramatically then and from that moment on ages of people declined rapidly. It takes the suns rays to hit water droplets in a certain way to create a rainbow. That is my answer to long ages prior to the flood. Humans were meant to live forever. Adam sinned and lost everlasting life for himself. Adam's sin was passed on to his descendants.

Adam was 930 years old when he died. Which is a short time compared to living forever. People lived longer then because they were closer to perfection. They were stronger. Methuselah lived to be 969 years old.

Because of Adam's sin God sent his son Jesus to the earth to be a ransom sacrifice. Matthew 20:28 says: "to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many".

The ransom is the greatest gift from God. Jesus was a perfect man just like Adam was. Jesus was equal the perfection Adam was. 1 Corinthians 15:45 calls Jesus the "last Adam".

In a sense, Jesus stepped into Adam's place in order to save us. By sacrificing, or giving up, his perfect life, Jesus paid the price for Adam's sin. Jesus brought hope to Adam's offspring.

We are Adam's offspring. By means Christ's ransom sacrifice we can someday live longer than Adam. Remember, Adam lived in paradise. That was meant to be mankind's home forever. If Adam had not sinned, he would never have died. He would still be here. We die because of Adam. Remember Jesus raised the dead when he was on earth. He will do the same again on a world wide scale.
Revelation 21:4 says: "death will be no more".
Psalm 37:29 says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And will reside forever upon it."

Yes, people did live longer and by means of God's Kingdom (Matthew 6:9,10) they will live longer again. Even forever.

maybe they did live that long. maybe there was a change in the earth envirnment that gradually decreased the amount of years people could live on the earth. maybe the first people didn't come from earth and the gradual decrease in age is due to solar radiation(being to close to the sun). maybe the earth back then had a faster spin and a faster orbit around the sun, that made for faster earth years.

We judge on the basis of our knowledge and present age. There are many things in the world today that neither science or any other wisdom could prove. So leave such matters to the unproven category without judging it true or false.

2Pet.3:8; The first day of life for Adam would have been 1000 years, same as with angels, Jesus and God as Adam was meant to live forever.
But he would die in the day he sinned,
He sinned and passed that imperfection onto all his children and they onto us.
He died in the day he sinned. So 930, 912, 905, 895, 365, 962, 969, 777, 950 is not and eternal life day. that was lost, then violence filled the earth and the life sustaining earth was lost in the flood, the water between earth and outer eliments as sun, fell to cause the flood as there had never been any rain, the earth had water spouts.
There was no life to sustain. So life got Shorter. It was known that this woul happen.

So we have a temporary life, short and full of troubles until Jesus comes and brings back everything as it was before it was lost in Eden. So the time after Eden until he does this is my search as below.

Gen.1:1,2; All existed, time evident as billions.

Gen.1:3-31[Earth is focus];

Job 38:4-7; Angels saw earth as focus for habitation];

John 17:3.5.24[Jesus was with God before the World was];

Jude 9: Dan.10:13,21; Dan.12:1-13; Rev.12:6,7-11,12;

Only Michael has power over Satan.
Gen,5:3-28[130-105-90-70-65
0000-PLUS-162-65-187-182-600 = ]; Gen.7:6;
1656 flood.
0000 Noah + 350 = 2006 Gen.9:28,29; + 2 + Gen.12:4.10; Abraham.
0427 years to Abraham age 75 and he get the covenant year 2083.
0430 years to Moses age 80 Exo.7:7; 12:40,41[430]; 1553 before Christ.
0040 years to the Promised Land. Deut.1:3; 29:5; 34:7; 1513 before Christ.
0480 years to Solomon year 4 king. 1Ki.6:1;
0036 years [of 40], Solomon dies. 1Ki.11:42; 997 before Christ.
0391 Judah Kings=Babylon captive. Matt.1:1-17;
3460 + 2520 = 5980 after Adam and 606 years before Christ. Dan.9:24-27;
0606 years Christ in Roman Empire. [3460 + 606 + 1914 = 5980].
4066 years Christ in Rome,age 30 LUKE 3:23; year 33 ascended.

0000 Matt.4:1-11; 4066 + 1914 = 5980
2006 years ago Christ Jesus in Roman Empire. 5980 + 92 = 6,072
0000 6,130 year for Satan from Eden to Rev.20:1-6;
1000 year reign of Christ will end all perfect again
7130 after Eden God is all and all, all is good.

The ages in Genesis have no basis in reality.

They also have no bearing at all upon the teachings of the Bible.

Don't waste your time with such trivial matters.
