That is soooooo thoughtful. Many of the responses suggested sending the clothing to organizations in need..and they were great answers.
It really touches me when someone does something really thoughtful. It's like the world is okay.

Take them to your local Women's shelter. Abused women often have to flee their abusing husbands/boyfriends in a split second, taking the kids and nothing else. These shelters get a lot of donations for women--- they're called women's shelters, after all--- but not much for the kids that come with the women.
Anyone who has a computer and pays for Internet access should not be accepting free clothing because there are so many folks who need so much more.

i just wanted to commed you for such a thoughtful act. I have a 5 year old daughrter and she is constantly outgrowing things also, and I hate donating them to goodwill or value village becasuse they re-sell them. If you have no takers, why not donate them to a local womens shelter, I am sure they would appreciate the gesture....
good luck hun

So far you have some great answers to choose from......here is another thought....check out Freecycle.com and check out if there are any programs in your area, or close to your area. You basically cycle free stuff to whoever is a member, and you too if you need anything that is listed can get free stuff if you are in a financial bind.
Good luck on any of your options....nice thought...more people need to think like you...

the best thing for you to do with the clothes is you can donate them to the children from the hurricane and tornado diasters through red cross or to children in irag which several organizations are set up for both. also in your community are local battered women shelters with children who could use them as many have to take off and don't have time to pack things.

look in your phone book for a clothes closet, goodwill, etc. that takes clothing donations. or, if there in good condition, try to sell them to a resale shop. what state are u in? also, some churches may take them, or your local women's crisis center.
