i also cant remember for the life of me where i heard it from, so if anyone knows where its from plese tell me. i think its from a movies i seen, but im not sure (i watch a lot of movies)

yeah, its a nice quote. you cant paraphrase it any better. though my father had a similar line to tell me, not to hope against hope he said.

I don't agree with it at all. Reason is humanity's greatest asset, with hope somewhere in the top 20. In no sense is hope a flaw.

Faith is certainly a major flaw, but not hope.

The problem is there in your statement. "You watch a lot of movies". Without hope the world would have remained in a stage where it originally came into being.

mmmmm.....its like the word "pandora" meaning gifts, it comes with the good AND the bad...so yea i agree with it....hope gives people courage and a reason to believe in something but then again it lets us down...and uughhh

Humans have the intelligence for hope...but it can create as much damage as good too...
