If you're talking to one person you know well, use the familiar:
Arrête de dire ça! = Stop saying that!
[ah-ret-duh-deer-sah]
OR
Arrête d'en parler! = Stop talking about it!
[ah-ret-dahn-par-lay]

If you're talking to someone you should show respect for or to a group, use the formal/plural:
