Don't fight the delusion. This will just lead to a circular argument that you can't will. Confronting the delusion will also serve to legitimize it. You will also loose the trust of the person in question. Wait until their meds kick in and they stabilize then discuss the delusions.

Confronting a schizophrenic about their delusions will only cause them to get upset with you. Talk calmly and go along with them. If their delusions appear to have the potential to cause danger to the person or others around them, then seek medication treatment. If not, enjoy. They can be very interesting.

there are many different drugs that work well. To confront delusions of a schizophrenic is not a good idea, they truly believe in what they are seeing or hearing.
It is a must to get this person to see a phyciatrist. Monitoring that they are taking meds is also critial

hi I am a schizophrenic (paranoid) patient. I take medicine on a daily bases I have been hospitalized once because the paranoia was so bad. I am not able to work but other than that I take my meds and live a some what normal life with my children.

You can't generally without medicating them. It's the same as the super-actor/super-spartan argument in psychology. the problem is that they don't conform to the same set of beliefs concerning reality that you do--you consider them to be off base, but they view you with equal suspicion.
