It started about a week ago, this huge, silver and grey wolf kept following me around my front yard and everytime I go outside. It acts like a complete, harmless puppy around me, but a normal, agressive wolf around everyone else! Does it want to be my friend? My protector? And above all, why did it choose me?

Could be a werewolf :o, or a vampire! (they can change shapes you know.)
Or just maybe its because you give it food.

Is it possible that this could be an Alaskan Malemute or a Siberian Husky? Both these breeds look very much like wolves and these and Hybrids (1/2 wolf, 1/2 Mal or Sib) are commonly used in movies and TV shows because they can be trained. Malemutes and Siberians are usually very people friendly but are aggressive towards other dogs. Check a book on dog breeds for pictures of both these breeds to see if one matches your "wolf". The
"wolf grey" or silver color is the most common in both breeds.

Have you ever heard the saying don't choose a pet let the pet choose you? I have raised wolves my whole life. Once they become loyal to you, the will always be loyal to you. They will protect you till the death as long as you treat them well. As far as why did it choose you. Maybe it was just supposed to. My Wolf was 13 years old when my neighbors poisoned her. I have never had a better pet and nothing will ever replace her. Consider yourself lucky.

WOW- I would be a little more than nervous if a wolf was following me around. Are there a lot near you and have they ever been aggresive? Wolves are normally pack animals so he's decided you must be his new litter mate. I'd watch it though.

It might not be a wolf. A lot of dogs can resemble dogs and can be related to wolves. If it is a wolf then I would just take care of it because it may be frightened or alone. He or she might've chosen you because he was the first person he or she saw.

Animals can develop an attachment to people (or other animals) just like a human can. Who knows why - you probably never will. However, don't forget this is a wild animal and cannot be trusted. Don't let your guard down, animal instincts CAN kick in at any time.

I do not believe it is a wolf, maybe a dog that resembles a wolf. A wolf would not act that way unless it was raised by humans. Maybe you remind him of the human that raised him?
I see that most of your posts are about faeries, imaginary friends, etc. I guess he is your imaginary friend

I don't know why it's acting like that with you, but please be careful. I saw a show recently about wolves and dogs bred with wolves. They can turn on you. It might be best to call some sort of animal control group.

You must have a gift with animals or a non threatening presence to them. Maybe it's someone you know that has passed on. I don't know.

Is is physically attached to you or is it following you around? Weird question...maybe it wants to mate.
Well, I would call animal control on this one. It seems he got seperated from his pack..poor guy.
